Hydrocompus offers a variety of membrane bioreactor (MBR) systems for both industrial and municipal applications. Our technology uses a fully automated process that provides liquid/solid separation by combining biological waste oxidation and membrane separation. In turn, this eliminates the need for any secondary clarification.

Reduce organic matter found in wastewater with our sequencing batch reactors (SBR). SBRs, also known as sequential batch reactors, use an activated sludge process to treat wastewater such as sewage or water from anaerobic digesters. As the name suggests, water is treated in batches. During the process, oxygen bubbles through the activated sludge and wastewater mixture. The treated effluent can be later used as discharge for surface waters. In some instances, the effluent can be used on land.

Hydrocompus is an industry leader in the manufacture and installation of field erected biological treatment plants for the reduction of biochemical oxygen demand, total suspended solids, total nitrogen, and phosphorus. Municipalities and contractors for industrial clients can reduce their overall capital expenditure and have a shorter concept-to-completion timeline. Our field-erected treatment plants are available in a variety of configurations, including activated sludge processes, sequencing batch reactors, and oxidation ditch configuration. Capacities range from 0.1 MGD to 5.0 MGD with full turnkey, retrofit or upgrade solutions available.

Ideal for Biological Nutrient Removal and Stormwater Management. An oxidation ditch is a modified activated sludge biological treatment process that utilizes long solids retention times (SRTs) to remove biodegradable organics. Oxidation ditches are typically complete mix systems, but they can be modified to approach plug flow conditions.

Chain and scraper sludge collection system provides maximum sludge concentrations and floating solid removal. The system is comprised of light-weight components, which makes installation easy and simplifies maintenance. Flights mounted on two parallel strands of non-metallic chain scrape the settled solids along the tank floor to sludge hoppers. On the return run the flights can skim the surface and concentrate the floating material at a scum removal device.

Hydrocompus has provided custom designed, circular clarifiers for municipal and industrial water and wastewater treatment applications. Circular clarifiers are designed to remove settled solids from the bottom of the tank as quickly as possible to improve the efficiency of treatment processes. Considerations involving inlet energy dissipation, solids settling characteristics, liquid flow patterns and effluent collection are all part of the design parameters.

Proven technologies that make clarification faster and more reliable in a smaller footprint. Ballasted Settling Systems from Hydrocompus are proven wastewater and water solutions that increase the capacity and contaminant removal capabilities of primary, secondary, and tertiary treatment systems. These ground-breaking technologies infuse magnetite as a weighting agent into chemical (CoMag) or biological (BioMag) floc, resulting in rapid and enhanced settling and clarification.

UV light provides effective inactivation of microorganisms such as bacteria, viruses, molds and pathogens without the use of chemicals. Hydrocompus offers a range of advanced UV treatment solutions to help operators achieve a high level disinfection barrier while maintaining peak performance and dependable operations. Many of our UV systems have certifications or validations to meet rigorous industry specific regulations.
