Dry Blast

ICM - Pressure Blast

The Super Ad-A-Blast is our entry level model, available in either a pressure blast or syphon blast configuration; however, almost any type of surface finish you might want can be achieved by syphon blasting. In a syphon machine blast media are placed in the abrasive storage hopper where vacuum from a venturi in the blast gun pulls it through an abrasive hose. Air and media mix inside the blast gun and then shoot from the blast nozzle. A particle separator in the back wall of the cabinet separates and recycles usable abrasive and sends the dust and debris to the dust collector.

ICM - Abrasive Dry-Blast Cabinet

SuperHone is ICM’s signature line of abrasive dry-blast cabinets. SuperHone is available in a variety of sizes with a generous list of available options. Built to give you many years of faithful, trouble-free service, at minimal ownership cost, this workhorse blasting system is in service around the world in practically any industry you can name. The ICM SuperHone is available as a Style II, for coarse to medium particle blasting, or a Style III with a Cyclone Reclaimer, for coarse to fine particle blasting, and can use a wide range of abrasives to clean, finish, de-burr or bead-blast an enormous variety of materials, familiar and exotic.

ICM - Slurry-Blast Machines

Our HydroHone line of slurry-blast machines is perfect for jobs too delicate for traditional dry blasting. These versatile machines mix abrasive with water and pump the resulting slurry to the blast gun where it is accelerated by a compressed air jet and aimed at the part. In addition to providing a gentler cleaning action, the wet process is quieter, cooler and dust-free.

ICM - Blast Rooms

A Blast Room allows the operator to enter the work chamber and directly blast parts that might be too heavy for, or not fit in, a Blast Cabinet. In the most basic Blast Room, the operator sweeps up used abrasive and shovels it into the pressure pot. In a Blast Room with Air Swept Duct(s), the operator manually sweeps abrasive into a duct thus eliminating the shoveling process. Advanced Blast Rooms, equipped with an ICM Air Swept Floor, eliminate both the sweep and shovel process resulting in continuous production.
