The industry that makes the most widespread use of multi-channel pockets is primary aluminium production, as part of its electrolysis process. Firstly because this eliminates the risk of the fluorine gas produced in this process being emitted into the atmosphere. Secondly because it allows as much as possible of this gas to be re-used in the production process (fluorine combines with alumina to produce enriched alumina, the raw material for primary aluminium).

To achieve maximum efficiency in filter bags or pockets, the right choice of fabric to make them is essential, as is their treatment and finishing. A wide variety of fabrics exists. The final choice should always depend on a goal of ecoefficiency for the filter system, so ICT FILTRATION recommends its customers commission a prior technical and economic study. The technical study allows them to choose the right fabric for specific working conditions, while the economic one lets them assess its payback in terms of real, quantifiable savings.

Cartridge with a clamp fixing system at 3 or 4 points depending on the diameter of the filter element. This clamp can include a venturi if the installation requires it.. This is the most common model in most dust capture installations with this filtration system. They can be mounted on the clean air chamber or on the dirty air chamber, which is why this model is differentiated into TR (top removal) and BR (bottom removal).

Cartridge with a fixing system using a threaded rod. They are generally mounted on the dirty air chamber and consist of a cover with a hole in the centre to fit the fixing system. Several cartridges of this type can be fitted together. In this case the intermediate cartridges will be open at both ends and a rubber seal fitted on each of the rubber joints to assure control of emissions.

MPPS overall efficiency: 99.95%. Recommended final ?p: 500 Pa. Temperature: 100º C/80º C. Relative humidity: 100 %. EN 1822 class: H13.

Very high efficiency absolute filter constructed with fireproof and water-repellent fiberglass paper in a mini-fold system with constant package width and deep fold, with a wooden or galvanized steel frame sealed with polyurethane resin and continuous elastomer gasket. Overall MPPS efficiency: 99.95%. Recommended final Δp: 600 Pa. Temperature: 80º C. Relative humidity: 100%. EN 1822 class: H13.
