Air Quality Services
DEQ`s Air Quality Division is responsible for ensuring compliance with federal and state health-based air quality standards. Staff in the state and regional offices fulfill this responsibility through the following activities.
Water Quality Services
DEQ`s Water Quality Division is responsible for assuring that the state`s surface, ground, and drinking water resources meet state water quality standards.
Waste Management & Remediation Services
DEQ`s Waste Management and Remediation Division is responsible for monitoring and controlling the generation, treatment, storage, and disposal of wastes in Idaho. The waste management group focuses on ensuring that wastes generated in or entering Idaho are managed and disposed in a manner protective of human health and the environment. On the remediation side, program resources are directed to responding to releases of hazardous substances to surface waters, ground water, or soils.
Environmental Management & Information Services
DEQ`s Environmental Management and Information Division consists of the agency`s environmental outreach and assistance, technical publications, and information technology teams.
