Clean environment with clean Air is essential for all people. However, we are polluting the Environment continuously in a number of ways. Air pollution is one of the main problems of Environmental Pollution today. The Industrial waste gases are polluting the environment and directly harm people`s health and also affect further development of the Industries. With the aim of the communities, industries, Governments to control Air Pollution in industries, now a days Electrostatic Precipitators have come a long way and are widely used in all major industries including Power Plants, Chemical Industries, Cement Industries, Paper Industries & Steel Industries etc. Electrostatic Precipitators absorb more than 99% of dust particles and other substances from the polluted air generated in industrial processes, before allowing them to go into the environment. In all industries the burnt gases are passing through the Electrostatic Precipitator to eliminate the dust particles.

Our endeavor with industrial fans started almost 20 years back when we started supplying fast moving spares for fans to Cement Industry. Gradually, building on our strengths, we started supply of spares for Power, Steel, Cement, Paper, Fertilizer and Chemical Plants for the following fan types: Induced Draft Fans, Forced Draft Fans, Primary Air Fans, Secondary Air Fans, Exhaust and Vapour Fans. Currently we are supplying Impellers & Shafts for Fans up to 4000 mm Dia duly dynamically balanced and shafts upto 800mm Dia and 6500mm length.

Imeco, at its Kharagpur factory, is equipped with multi strand Cold Roll Profiling Machines for manufacturing of metal sections of various profiles for a number of industries including the following:-Pollution Control, Railways, Highways, Construction, Vineyards, Automobile, Electrical, Structural. The process of cold forming involves a series of matching profile rolls driven in multiple stands, through which metal sheet is passed in the cold form. As the metal sheet passes through the rolls, the required profile is produced gradually until the final product comes out of the last pair of the rolls. The Rolling machine installed at Imeco is highly versatile and any profile on metal sections can be produced. The design engineers are highly experienced and skilled in designing and setting of tools for custom built products required by customers.

Imeco is supplying a wide range of spares for Air & Gas compressors for makes such as Atlas Copco, Ingersoll Rand, Broomwade (Kirloskar), Crepelle (K.G.Khosla), C.P. Tools etc. which includes regular consumable spares such as Valve Assemblies, Valve and Buffer Plates, Piston and Rings, `O` rings, Connecting Rods, Rotor Blades, etc. Imeco is also recognized for supply of Pneumatic Tool spares for various makes such as C.P. Tools, Ingersoll Rand, Atlas Copco, Holman, etc. for a number of equipments including Chipping Hammers, Grinders, Reversible and Non Reversible Drills, Riveters, Wrenches, etc. Expert technology and multistage Quality Control make the spares highly trusted throughout the world. Appreciating the performance, Director General - Supply & Disposal (DGS&D), a Government of India Undertaking, has awarded successive Rate Contracts for a continuous period of 18 years for more than 8000 components to Imeco.

Imeco offers various fast moving spares for Diesel Shunting Locomotives for all major makes including ALCO, Bambardier, SAN, BHEL, CLW, DLW, etc. The product range includes the following:-Brake Blocks, Brake Shoes, Spares for WABCO Air Brake Systems, Spares for Compressors, Spares for Exhausters, Filters. Most of these spares are ready inventory items and can be offered ex-stock. All we need to quote is the Make and Model of the Locomotive / Equipment and Part number of the components required based on which we can submit our offers.

Imeco has a Heavy and Medium Fabrication facility at the Kharagpur Works with a Machine Shop. The shop is equipped with all the required tools & tackles, different types of Welding Machines, Material Handling equipments etc. Work is constructed in close consultation with fabrication blueprints drafted by expert designers leaving no room for any error. An impressive client database, including some of the biggest companies within and outside India speak acceptability and reliability of Imeco products for itself. The strategic location of the factory makes procurement of Raw Materials cost effective and access easy for clients.

Imeco Bowl Mill Spares are made from the highest quality Alloy & Wear Resistance Steels - Chrome and High Nickel Base Alloys. The Production Engineers are intimately familiar with the environments, working conditions and usage of each of the Bowl Mill components. All the spares are manufactured within close tolerances to ensure perfect interchangeability with the mother equipment. Air Preheater Baskets are a compact arrangement of profiled metal sheets placed in the Air Preheater rotor in two or more layers and plays the most important role in the process of heat recovery. The bottom layer, or the cold end layer, is where the air enters and the flue gases are discharged, and is therefore, subjected to severe corrosion due to acid dew point. The Material of Construction and the Profile design of the Heating Elements depends on the operating conditions, quality and type of fuel, etc. Today IMECO Limited is the largest manufacturer of Air Preheater Baskets in India and has successfully executed orders for various organizations including NTPC Limited, various state Electricity Boards, Captive Power Plants of various industries including Steel, Fertilizers, Smelters, Refineries etc. In 2000, Imeco commenced its export activities for Air Preheater Baskets and has been successful in its endeavor.
