IMI Transporter - Cylinder Actuated Magnets

Our Transporter Cylinder Actuated (TPCA) Magnets utilizes powerful, Rare Earth, Permanent Magnet Circuitry to pick and place metal parts. These lifting magnets are often used in automated transfers or lift-assist material handling applications. TPCA`s are designed to handle heavier parts than our TPLP (Transporter® Low Profile) series. Stamped, forged and hydro-formed parts or complete parts assemblies, TPCA`s provide material handling safety while significantly minimizing shop air costs. Ideal for applications in Automotive under body parts, Lawn/Farm equipment components, Application pumps, compressors, motors, fan assemblies and more. You can often find our TPCA magnets replacing vacuum cups and grippers in common lifting and moving applications for steel sheets, blanks, stamped parts and complete assemblies.

IMI Transporter - Low Profile Magnets

The Low Profile Transporter LP magnetically transfers metal blanks, stampings and parts in automated station to station, press-to-press transfer and robotic pick and place systems. Typical applications include stamped parts, tailor welded blanks, body panels and refrigerator door panels. The Transporter LP is designed to directly replace vacuum cups with minor tooling and valve adjustments. Powerful Rare Earth magnets positively hold the parts during transfer, greatly reducing the chance of slipping and shifting of your part due to oily coatings. An optional "low-skid" boot is also available to increase grip on parts during transfer. A short burst of shop air pressure is applied in order to release parts. To pick-up or grip parts, the air pressure must be exhausted to the atmosphere.

Our Magnetic Sheet and Plate Lifters are designed and manufactured to load and/or unload steel sheets from pallets, racks, cutting tables, shears and more. Our unique designs of these magnetic lifting systems allow one person to safely and effectively move and load sheets onto cutting tables, shear beds and other fabrication equipment. The Magnetic Sheet and Plate Lifter can be designed to your unique specifications These permanent magnets require a simple burst of shop air to release the sheets and plates.

IMI - Magnetic Tube Lifters

Our Magnetic Tube Lifters are designed to assist in stacking, destacking, loading and unloading for a variety of tube and pipe applications. This is a permanent magnet that requires a simple burst of shop air to release the row of tube or pipe. In the result of a loss of shop air, the Tube Lifter is designed to remain in a "failure safe" mode, without the need for a battery backup system; simply put, the magnet will not drop the tube or pipe, ensuring safer working conditions. The Tube Lifter is ideal for hydroforming, roll-forming, packing, cutting or tube and pipe fabrication applications.

IMI - Industrial Spreader Beams for Lifting

When lifting large steel shapes, such as off-center loads, round, rectangular or long items (I-beams), one lift magnet may not be enough. IMI’s Spreader Beams allow two or more magnets to be used at one time with only one lifting source. Magnets on a Spreader Beam keep your product level, reducing the height required to lift the load, providing a safer lift environment while reducing the time needed to move the load.
