Our Stand Alone Sun and Rain sensor systems can be expanded upon with the addition of our dedicated dataloggers. These loggers work alongside the aformentioned stand alone products to give the user historical sensor data via a Windows PC.

Replacement Wind Sensor for use with the Atmos and Climatica range of Weather Stations. The non temperature versions of the Wind Sensor can also be used with the commercial products available. The Basic Wind Sensor is supplied with 25m of four core cable and the Temperature Wind Sensor is supplied with 25m of six core cable. Both Wind Sensors come with a compass for alignment purposes and mounting instructions. The `Basic` Wind Sensor incorporates a sintered bronze bearing in the base of the cup assy and the `Pro` Wind Sensor uses a ball bearing.

The Instromet wind sensor wireless link was developed to allow wind sensor data (Speed and Direction) to be sent over distances greater than the 100m maximum for a cabled system. This could prove useful for industrial locations where long cable runs are not suitable or for golf clubs and even airfields wishing to obtain wind data from further afield than just the imediate location. Although we have placed our wireless link in amongst our commercial products, we see no reason as to why this device couldn`t be used for domestic purposes either. The inbuilt wireless modules allows only wind sensor data to be sent up to an absolute maximum of 3km with a clear line of sight. But given the proximity of buildings and other geographical limitaions, we would expect 2km to be the normal maximum operational range for this product.

nstromet`s range of wind switches is slowly growing in popularity and is rapidly finding its way into many applications such as use with de-odourisors, water fountains, inflatable outdoor products, lighting rigs, air recirculation fans just to name a few. The range of wind switches comes in the form of two main types, versions for wind speed only and versions for wind speed and wind direction.

The Instromet range of Industrial wind sensor products has proved to be very popular and are one of Instromets biggest selling units at this time.This range of wind sensors are designed for measuring both wind speed and wind direction with industry standard outputs of either 0-10V DC or 4-20mA. These industry standard outputs allow the wind sensor to be connected to PLCs etc in order to be used for automatic applications where wind parameters are of utmost importance, for example automatic window and vent closures, awning retraction etc just to name a couple.

This handsomely crafted analogue weather monitor is our entry level model; the Instromet Atmos N series home weather station. It has the ability to show wind speed as well as direction, along with temperature and rainfall.

The Atmos LT model is the same as the above except with the addition of an Instromet MWD (Multi Weather Display). The MWD fitted to the Atmos LT has the ability to display Temperature (C/F switchable with Min/Max function), Rainfall (mm/inc selectable, and accumilated display), and also time and date for reference.
