Investigation
Soil & Groundwater Investigations
Soil and groundwater investigations significantly minimize the risk of unknown contaminations with various pollutants. To this purpose soil, groundwater and soil-gas samples are extracted from boreholes to be analyzed for contaminants.
Environmental Risk Analysis
The environmental risk of factories, processes, sites and accidents to humans, soil, groundwater, fauna and flora are evaluated with special risk analysis models.
Historical Research
Historical research is the task of collecting and summarizing all available data and sources of information about a company or a site in order to have a basis for making decisions about further investigation for contamination. Historical research is often the first step (Phase 0 or Phase 1) of an Environmental Due Diligence Assessment (EDDA).
Remediation
Soil Excavation
Soil excavation is the removal of soil and the appropriate and law-abiding disposal/recycling of the excavated material. When time is a factor or in situations where the contamination is contained, the excavation of contaminated property, accompanying analysis and the proper disposal of the excavated material can speed up the remediation without delaying the construction progress.
Groundwater Remediation
Groundwater contaminations demand the highest standards with regard to the planning and execution of a remediation.
Landfills
INTERGEO is specialised in planning new landfills as well as in the remediation of old landfills. We have investigated, planned the remediation for and supervised the excavation of some of the largest landfills in Europe.
Environmental Health and Safety
Wastewater
Companies with waste water installations and existing waste water discharges into surface waters, groundwater or sewer systems must have these regularly checked for functionality and must show that the limiting values are being held to. INTERGEO advises you in selecting and determining the dimensions of a waste water unit, prepares submission documents for oil separators and for the drainage of rain water. We take care of the recurring inspections of the oil separators and well drains, sample the waste water and analyse it in our accredited laboratory to ensure and prove that the limiting values are being held to. Additionally, we prepare the required reports and documentation for the authorities responsible. Preparation of submission documents for waste water units and applications for indirect discharger permission. Preparation of water law submission and sewer plans for oil separators, well drains, rain water drainage.
