Interscan’s AccuSafe takes the familiar “Point sensor reporting to a controller” design approach to the next level.  AccuSafe consists of up to ten sensor modules reporting to a single controller.  Since the communications are Modbus TCP/IP, there is no limit on the distance between sensor modules and the controller.  (Modbus RTU is also available.)

Interscan’s GasD 8000 portable gas analyzers represent a complete reimagining of our earlier flagship products, dating back to 1975—which defined how instrument-based toxic gas detection was performed.

We mean that we’ve taken the best tools of modern factory automation, and have made them available to you, for the first time, in an automation based gas detection system.

The Dilution System [flow diagram] operates by mixing the sample to be analyzed (the analyte) with diluent purified air or nitrogen. The optimal flow rates for both the analyte and diluent are determined based on the particular application, and are monitored and controlled at integral rotameters.

Adding remote displays to an installation allows various information—acquired by the gas detection system—to be viewed at a location some distance from where the main system is installed.  They are often mounted directly outside the entrance to a work area that could develop hazardous levels of a toxic gas.  In certain cases, it may also be prudent to install remote displays within the area that is monitored. Deployment and location of remote displays is best determined by consideration of employee safety and early warning requirements.

Interscan’s portable gas analyzers are available for applications including: Br2, CO, Cl2, ClO2, C2H4, ethylene oxide, HCHO, H2, hydrazine, HBr, HCl, HCN, H2O2, H2S, NO, NO2, O3, peracetic acid, propylene oxide, and SO2. Our portable gas analyzers utilize Interscan’s own patented (US Patent Number 4,017,373) electrochemical voltametric sensors.

Measuring Range: 0-50 ppm full scale. Accuracy: ±1 ppm. Lag Time: 3 seconds. Rise Time: 120 seconds to 90% of final value. Fall Time: 120 seconds to 20% of original value.

Power Source: 24 VDC:  Two 12V rechargeable gel-type Pb/PbO2 batteries, in series. Maximum instrument running time provided by battery pack: 75 minutes.
