Around half of the municipal sewage systems in Germany are designed as a combined system, which means that wastewater and stormwater are discharged into these pipes together. In order to operate a wastewater treatment plant as compactly and economically as possible, a separate system is always more sensible, because rainwater is collected separately and only wastewater enters the treatment plant.

Constructed wetlands as a small sewage treatment plant. We built our first constructed wetland in 1993. The horizontal flow plant operates without electricity and is still in trouble-free operation today:

Constructed wetlands for highly fluctuating wastewater volumes and pollution loads. Many of our agricultural customers do not fit into the “small wastewater treatment plant” standard with their wastewater volume. The common design for 4, 6, 8, 12 … p.e. only applies when production on the farm is at rest.
