JEC provides systems that efficiently manage energy, lighting, security, heating and cooling functions at a wide range of facilities, from commercial, industrial and educational institutions. Our expertise extends to creating integrated building and process control management systems for key resources, linked with CCTV, access control, intrusion alarm, fire detection, processing equipment and other systems in mission critical infrastructures and facilities.

The buildings in which we live, work and spend our free time are increasingly complex multisystem environments. JEC has built on its longstanding expertise in electrical & mechanical <E&M) systems and heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) to provide critical, state-of-the-art backbone installations such as environmentally alert systems that integrate co-generation, greywater management and thermal cooling systems. In Thailand, JEC is the market leader in building services for new-build shopping complexes and hotels and continues to introduce and develop best practices there and around the region.

JEC provides a wide range of fitting out and renovation services. From planning to execution, JEC staff coordinate essential work within 24-hour operating environments to ensure minima! disruption to day-to-day operations.

When a new facility has complex engineering at its core, JEC is able to undertake a complete design and build approach, ensuring that the entire operational environment is integrated and optimal. For example, at the Lok Ma Chau border crossing in Hong Kong, JEC designed and installed electrical & mechanical (E&M) services and related functions for the X-ray vehicle inspection centre. This included fixed X-ray vehicle inspection systems for inbound and outbound vehicles.

JEC is a pioneer in the provision and operation of building automation systems and information management for facilities. Cost management and waste reduction in energy usage, security, heating and cooling, as well as monitoring and managing data from electrical & mechanical (E&M) and plant equipment. We are also able to undertake live traffic monitoring, such as in retail outlets, for data analysis or security.

JEC is adept at delivering planned maintenance and overhaul, emergency repairs, and system retrofits. Our services include electrical, ventilation, air-conditioning, fire protection, security, building management, and plumbing systems. We always aim to optimise cost-effectiveness and energy management. In support of our facility management services, our engineering teams undertake scheduled and unscheduled maintenance which maximises efficiency and minimises downtime. Our emergency response units are constantly on standby.

JEC`s Signal Monitoring Centre (SMC) operates 24 hours a day, ready to respond to any alarm signal from customers` properties across Hong Kong. Employing advanced monitoring technologies, the SMC in Hong Kong is capable of detecting signals from multiple individual sensors, allowing JEC to help customers reduce disruption from false alarms.

JEC has more than three decades of experience in sewage and wastewater treatment. Recent projects have Included the design and construction of UV disinfection systems at sewage treatment plants in Shatin, Tai Po and Shek Wu Hui in Hong Kong, which are now capable of disinfecting over 540,000 cubic metres of effluent per day. As well as upgrade works for the Harbour Area Treatment Scheme in Hong Kong, JEC is also Involved in the construction and design of two sewage treatment facilities In Manila, the Philippines. We also provide wastewater treatment systems for industrial facilities and power plants.

A further capability is in waste management. In 2008 in time for the Hong Kong Equestrian Olympics, JEC designed, built and operated Hong Kong`s first animal waste recycling plant, which transforms 25 tonnes of horse waste into environmentally friendly fertilisers every day. In addition to waste recycling, JEC can provide centralised waste management systems for single buildings or entire neighbourhoods.
