Impressed Current Anodes - High Silicon Cast Iron Anodes

Jennings Anodes - High Silicon Cast Iron Anode Sled

With six heavy high silicon cast iron tubular anodes mounted on a PVC pipe frame filled with reinforced concrete, this anode sled is designed to provide cathodic protection current to offshore structures such as oil platforms, piers, pilings, wharfs and similar structures which usually require relatively high levels of current in seawater. The anodes will be connected to a shore-based rectifier by means of two parallel insulated cables.

Galvanic / Sacrificial Anodes

Jennings Anodes - Aluminum Tank Anode with Crancked Rod Insert

The ship’s ballast water tank is subject to galvanic corrosion, especially its internal steel structure immersed in seawater. The only way of preventing corrosion in ballast tank, when coatings become damaged or ultimately break down, is to apply sacrificial anodes. This aluminum tank anode with double cranked rod core is the most common anode types applied in cathodic protection of vessel’s tank. It is suitable for new vessels, or used to replace existing anodes in old vessels.

Vessel Anodes

Jennings Anodes - Oval Zinc Hull Anode with Single Strap

This oval zinc sacrificial hull anode is suitable for use in salt waters. Sacrificial anodes should be fitted and correctly bonded to all boats / vessels to help prevent corrosion by cathodic protection when in the water.

Other Anodes

Jennings Anodes - Rigid Aluminum Water Heater Anode Rod

One of the most commonly found factors limiting the life of water heaters is interior corrosion. The water inside the heater tank can be very harmful to the system as the harsh minerals it contains can build up and eat away at the steel surfaces, a process which is only worsened by the high water temperatures. With the lowest voltage during the sacrificial process, aluminum anode rods usually corrode at a slower rate than magnesium rods. Thus, aluminum anode rods are the least expensive alternative, especially for water heater that heats up hard water.

DSA Electrodes

Jennings Anodes - Iridium-Tantalum Coated Titanium Electrode Rod

MMO rod anodes are composed of a titanium substrate covered with a mixed metal oxide coating. Strict quality control procedures are followed throughout the entire coating process, to guarantee appropriate coating thickness and adhesion. Because the mixed metal oxide coatings have an extremely low consumption rate, the titanium substrate remains constant throughout the design life of the anode. It is one of the most durable and popular anodes for ICCP due to its combination of cost-effectiveness and long life. Our MMO rod anodes are available in a number of diameters and lengths. Cable can be attached to one end of the anode for conventional use. We can also attach the lead cable on both ends to allow for the formation of anode strings. This MMO rod anode can be used for impressed current cathodic protection of heat exchangers, water condensers, process vessels, water intake structure, etc.
