As a company, we are hugely experienced in working in radiologically designated areas as defined by the Ionising Radiation Regulations 1999. We employ trained Radiation Protection Supervisors and Radioactive Material Controllers who are formally appointed to carry out their duties on a contract-by-contract basis. Our operatives are classified workers and are fully trained in all aspects of barrier drill and local rules, as well as in the use of radiological protection equipment, including full-pressurised suits.

Carrying out complex and heavy lifts safely is all in a day’s work at JGC. We employ a highly experienced team of APL’s, Lift Supervisors and Rigging Teams who have extensive knowledge of safe lifting and rigging practices. We can successfully plan and undertake any required lifting operations, either for loading of fabricated items, or for quayside support requirements.

JGC provides comprehensive quayside support services, available 24/7 to meet the diverse needs of maritime and port operations. Their skilled teams offer services ranging from fabrication and welding to shoreside rigging, NDT inspection, and on-board scaffolding. This enables them to effectively address requests with short notice and mobilize work teams efficiently. Their strategic location at the Janetstown site, merely two miles from Scrabster Harbour, ensures seamless transport of wide and high loads, making JGC well-equipped to handle various logistical challenges. The straightforward and unrestricted route between their workshops and the quayside enhances their capacity to deliver timely services.
