Johnson Matthey Stationary Emissions Control products
Johnson Matthey - Temperature and Pressure Monitor
Johnson Matthey`s HAPGuard temperature and pressure monitor ensures that your catalytic converter remains in compliance with RICE NESHAP for clean air. The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency recently implemented clean air regulations to reduce exhaust emissions of hazardous air pollutants (HAPS) from previously unregulated reciprocating internal combustion engines (RICE). Johnson Matthey supplies oxidation catalysts and three-way catalysts and catalytic converters to operators of stationary gas engines and stationary diesel engines to achieve the exhaust emissions levels mandated by RICE NESHAP. In addition, the Environmental Protection Agency requires continuous monitoring of the operating temperature and backpressure of the catalytic converter.
Oxidation Catalysts and Catalytic Converters
Johnson Matthey - Oxidation Catalysts
Johnson Matthey oxidation catalysts are used to prevent air pollution from almost all industrial and combustion sources.
Johnson Matthey - Ventilation Air Methane Catalyst
Johnson Matthey’s system offers cost-effective, low-temperature oxidation of methane from active and abandoned coal mines. Methane has a global warming potential of up to 25 times that of carbon dioxide. Despite the low concentrations of methane in ventilation air from coal mines, the flow rates are enormous, resulting in significant greenhouse gas emission and global warming impact. Ventilation air methane (VAM) contributes more than 300 million tons of carbon dioxide equivalent to the atmosphere each year. Traditionally the technologies available to abate methane emissions have been too expensive, preventing their adoption. Johnson Matthey’s VAM system solves this problem. Developed by Johnson Matthey chemical engineers and catalyst chemists, working together with Anglo Coal mining engineers, the VAM system offers a robust, low-cost, environmentally sound solution to methane emissions.
Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR)
Johnson Matthey - Honeycomb SCR Catalyst
Johnson Matthey’s SINOx® extruded honeycomb SCR catalysts achieve maximum NOx reduction to control air pollution from industries and combustion sources worldwide. Johnson Matthey is a world leader in catalytic emission control and has manufactured extruded SINOx SCR catalysts since 1987 to control air pollution from industries and combustion sources worldwide. Our homogeneous extruded honeycomb SCR catalysts consist entirely of catalytically active materials such as oxides of titanium, vanadium and tungsten, and are therefore more active than coated SCR catalysts. SINOx honeycomb SCR catalyst is supplied pre-installed in element frames or modules for durability and easy handling.
