Combination systems can be composed of a low speed shredder and a high speed grinder. The shredder reduces performs initial size reduction into uniform strips or chips which are then fed by conveyors to a high speed product grinder to reduce it to a crumb, pellets, beads, chips, or even powdered particle sizes.

Perfect where shredding needs are small yet the need for an industrial grade shredder exists.  The MS-1714 industrial shredder is the ideal Plastic Shredder for small plastic parts that simply need destroying or need to be prepared for recycling.  It is as well ideal for the shredding of smaller components such as cosmetics, aluminum and steel cans, pharmaceuticals, medical sharps and other similar materials.

For general purposes, dual shaft shredders are typically used in areas where end product uniformity is not a concern but product volume reduction or product destruction is a concern.  Many shredders are used for general volume reduction or material preparation for further grinding or granulating and or product liability destruction.   End product sizing is normally random unless screening procedures are applied.  Many JRS Mitts and Merrill shredders can be readily fit with screens for more accurate product sizing if required.

The MS-4526 Dual Shaft Shredder is perfect when you need a bit more power than our smaller shredder, but can’t justify going to the larger MS-5028. The MS-4526 is ideal for a multitude of materials from paper to tires and small white goods. Basically, anything you can get in the chamber except ferrous metals. The MS-4526 give a variety of options for your shredding needs while maintaining a reasonable foot print.
