ABRESIST - Wear-Proof Fused Cast Basalt for Protection Against Frictional Wear
Wear-proof fused cast basalt for protection against frictional wear. Basalt is a variety of igneous rock with high density and a uniform mineral structure. Its hardness makes it the ideal raw material for the mineral-based, wear-resistant products used throughout the world under the brand name ABRESIST. ABRESIST fused basalt reliably protects plant components such as cinder channels, marl funnels or coke bunkers in the iron and steel industry or ordinary piping, such as flue ash piping in thermal power stations, from abrasive wear.
KALCOR - Zirconium Corundum Wear Protection
Zirconium corundum wear protection resistant to high temperatures and frictional wear. The cast ceramic material KALCOR has proven effective for lining plant components that are subject not only to extremely harsh abrasion, but also high or fluctuating temperatures, for example in chutes for hot sinter or clinker, in hot gas pipelines or in dust extraction cyclones and separators.
Kalenborn - Model KALOCER - Ceramic Wear Protection for Plant Components Subject to Extreme Wear and Temperature Stresses
KALOCER is an oxide ceramic material composed of more than 90% aluminium oxide. It is manufactured as plates, specially shaped components and cylinders. KALOCER is suitable for plant components subject to extreme amounts of abrasive wear. Linings from as little as 1.5 mm thick even open up the possibility of use in highly constricted spaces. KALOCER is suitable for all segments, particularly the lining of separators, bunkers, chutes, conveyor belt transfer points, concrete mixers or cyclones. The material combines with rubber to form the composite material KALIMPACT, which also has high impact resistance.
Kalenborn - Model KALSICA - Wear-Proof Material Outstanding Against Frictional Wear in Hot Conditions
We use silicon carbide ceramics for plant components which are subject to not only extreme abrasive wear but also high temperatures or stresses due to temperature fluctuations. KALSICA is available in various quality grades depending on where it is used. Typical applications include coal dust distributors, cyclone linings and coke ramps. High-precision custom components, even for complex geometries, are used as wear-protection fittings in pumps, fans or hydraulic cyclones.

ABRESIST fused cast basalt has proven extremely effective as a protective lining in straight pipe elements and in pipe bends. Installed pipe cylinders reduce wear significantly in both pneumatic and hydraulic conveyor lines.
KALCOR - Pipes and Pipe Bends
Wear-proof KALCOR pipe systems are extremely abrasion-resistant, withstand service temperatures up to +400 °C, and also provide good resistance to temperature changes. The cast pipe cylinders are made of zirconium corundum with wall thickness as thin as 12 mm. Kalenborn also manufactures lined pipe bends from cast parts, thereby enabling the production of asymmetrical cross-sections.

KALOCER pipes and pipe bends are lined with thin pipe cylinders made of special oxide ceramic and designed to withstand extreme wear and/or temperature stresses. The durably smooth surfaces promote flowability and prevent moist material from forming blockages. Its corrosion resistance ensures that KALOCER pipes and pipe bends are always ready for use, even after extended downtimes. Depending on the stress loading, shape and diameter, Kalenborn produces not only KALOCER pipes and pipe bends with pipe cylinders, but also KALOCER pipes and pipe bends with cast parts (pipe bricks) or individual tiles.

Making the associated components out of KALMETALL significantly extends their service life. The KALMETALL brand designates a range of hard-faced steel systems comprising a tough basic shell with hard-face welding. The basic material of the systems is the reinforcement substrate. It consists of standard steels, depending on the specific application.
KALFLEX - Flexible Hose Systems With Wear-Resistant Material
Flexible hose systems with wear-resistant material segments at their core. KALFLEX are wear-resistant and flexible hose which are used where rigid piping systems cannot be used due to vibrations, expansion of length or intentional movement. KALFLEX hubes fit with existing connecting flanges and couplings or can easily be adapted to match them.
