MODUs Services
KCA DEUTAG owns and operates two cantilever jack-up rigs - the Ben Loyal and Ben Rinnes, rated at 300ft and 350ft water depth respectively. The Ben Loyal has recently undergone its 5 yearly Special Periodic Survey inspection and is currently operating in Mexico. The Ben Rinnes is contracted to work offshore in West Africa. In addition, the company also owns and operates three tender assist drilling rigs (barge type), Glen Esk, Glen Affric and Glen Tanar. This is the result of the acquisition in August 2011 of Singapore-based Global Tender Barges.
DART (Drilling & Advanced Rig Training) Services
KCA DEUTAG`s Drilling and Advanced Rig Training (DART) Services DrillSIM-6000 drilling simulator and well engineering system supplied by Drilling Systems, is the only system of its kind offering real-time drilling simulation and downhole modelling. With its computer-generated 3D graphics, real-time simulation and sound effects, DART Services has become an acknowledged, industry leading, facility for accelerating `hands-on` learning for both new mechanised rig training and subsequent drilling optimisation workshops.
Land Rigs Services
KCA DEUTAG has been carrying out land drilling operations for more than 100 years. We currently perform exploration, field development and workover operations for a wide range of clients and in different environments from desert to Arctic conditions. Our rigs are operating in several regional markets including Africa, Asia, the Caspian, Europe, Middle East, and Russia.
Offshore Platforms Services
KCA DEUTAG has a long history of offshore operations. The company has been operating platform rigs in the North Sea for more than 30 years and in the BP/AIOC Azeri Field in the Caspian Sea, since 1998. KCA DEUTAG is the largest platform drilling contractor in the North Sea and Caspian Sea. Currently, KCA DEUTAG is responsible for more than 30 managed offshore platforms in the North Sea, Caspian, Angola, and Sakhalin. Many of these platforms have been designed by our engineering division RDS, which continues to support our clients with rig refurbishment and upgrade projects ranging from minor modifications to large detailed design projects.
