Vertical Counter-current Scrubbers typically provide the most efficient removal of soluble acid gases. Counter-current refers to the direction of the contaminated airstream in relation to the fluid that scrubs it.

Horizontal Cross-flow scrubbers are commonly used in the surface finishing industry where space is limited and inlet loadings are relatively low. The rooftop is an ideal spot for these compact scrubbers if headroom is insufficient.

Bidirectional flow scrubbers utilize multiple stages of concurrent and counter-current flow in one unit to scrub a variety of noxious gases and odors. They are commonly recommended when multiple compounds need to be removed from one airstream.

Also known as Biotowers, Biotricklers, Bioscrubbing Systems, Bioscrubbers, and Biological Oxidation Systems. KCH designs and manufactures a Biotrickling Filter System to remove high levels of hydrogen sulfide (H2S) gas and other odors from municipal and industrial processes. Our Biotrickling Filter Systems will effectively remove 99% of H2S without the use of dangerous chemicals. Instead of chemicals, a simple non-proprietary nutrient is used to promote biological growth on a synthetic media.

Degasifiers are used in the drinking water treatment facillities to remove odors caused by hydrogen sulfide (H2S). Also known as air strippers or aeration towers, degasifiers work by stripping disolved Hydrogen Sulfide from water, therefore reducing the overall odor of the water. 

Corrosion resistance is an essential element in any system involving corrosive chemicals or exposure to the elements.  KCH provides corrosion-resistant PVC ducting in white or dark grey colors. White PVC ducting is most often specified for outdoor applications for its inherent UV resistance. KCH PVC duct systems are designed and installed in accordance with SMANCA. 

Our vertical flow composite mesh pad mist eliminators are designed for a smaller footprint with multiple stages of mist removal.

Our horizontal flow mesh pad eliminator is a multi-stage control system. These units utilize various mesh sizes and are specifically designed to entrap entrained droplets of corrosive chemicals that may be carried in the air stream. Each unit is equipped with an automatic spray header for periodic wash down and self cleaning capability. Mesh pad encasements are removable.
