Nylon R-AM combines one of the strongest and most durable coatings on the market with Biomaster’s proven antimicrobial protection. Nylon R-AM is available in a wide range of colors and its quality is based on Rilsan coating.

Rilsan is a powdered thermoplastic plastic coating based on vegetable castor oil. A monomer is extracted from this oil and processed into the polymer nylon 11, or Rilsan®. Coating metal with Rilsan is an inexpensive and durable alternative to stainless steel. Moreover, this coating complies with the Kiwa Assessment Guideline BRL-K759 and various European directives.

Halar ECTFE is a thermoplastic fluoropolymer. The combination of non-stick characteristics, wear resistance and excellent corrosion protection means that this coating is suitable for numerous applications – from storage or transport of aggressive media through to machine components for the galvanization and semiconductor industries. Additives can be mixed in to create variants of Halar® that offer greater protection against vapour diffusion or that are conductive or anti-static.

Resicoat is a plastic coating based on epoxy resin. This high-quality coating is chemically resistant, abrasion resistant and contains no solvents. Akzonobel Resicoat is certified by Kiwa for use with drinking water. The main application with Resicoat is therefore the coating of various castings, such as pipe parts, coupling parts and valves.

Xylan is a brand name owned by PPG / Whitford for a large group of fluoropolymers that we generally use for their excellent non-stick and low-friction properties. The maximum operating temperatures are between 205 and 260ºC.

Fluoropolymers is a collective name for coatings from various different manufacturers. Halar and Xylan are two examples of coatings that we use at Kersten coating technology. The most widely used fluoropolymers are PTFE, FEP, PFA, ECTFE and ETFE. They present excellent non-stick properties, combined with good chemical resistance. They can also withstand high temperatures. In addition, PFA Ruby Red provides increased resistance to vapour diffusion.
