AIR-Intelligence detectors continuously adapt their sensitivity to the environment in which they are installed, providing alarm thresholds which are `relative` to the background particle levels in the protected area, instead of placing the alarm threshold at a fixed level relative to ambient conditions. At any time, the detector`s performance remains constant, regardless of fluctuations in the normal background particle level. AIR-Intelligence detectors only respond to particle levels significantly above the expected background level, such as from a genuine fire situation.

The Kidde KVS Vehicle System is designed to control detection and suppression functions. The KVS unit uses a fast-response infrared fire sensor, spot heat detector or linear heat sensing cable to spot fires quickly. It provides visual and audible alarms to the vehicle operator, shuts down the engine and activates the fire suppression system.

The Kidde IND™ Dry Chemical System, provides 24-hour fire protection for a wide variety of industrial processes, equipment, machinery and paint spray booth applications. The system has the choice of two dry chemical agents effective on Class A, B and C fires. Total flooding or local application design options. The system includes detectors, a control unit, agent storage cylinders, piping and discharge nozzles.
