Gate valves are widely used as closing valve for many different processes mainly for liquids and for steam. Gate valves are used in pipelines which sizes are from DN50 to DN1600. As a benefit in gate valves is that those are fully open valves and flow is not resisted or it influence will be very low. Materials for gate valves can chosen from standard carbon and stainless steel, but also with highly alloyed steels for high temperature services or for high corrosion tolerance.

Pneumatic actuators are often used in applications where clean instrument air is easily available and where several actuators are in same area. Main benefits of pneumatic actuators are low price compared to other types, quick operation times, safety positions (open/closed) in electric or instrument air short cuts. Operation times can be controlled by selecting the right actuator model and controls. Operation ranges for Pneumatic actuator are 90° and 180° and vertical in diaphragm type for globe and piston valves.

Electric actuators are used mainly in applications, where instrument air is not available or where the distances are long. Electric actuators are often used with gear unit, in order to adjust speed or create high torque. Operation ranges for Electric actuator are 90°, multiturn and vertical for globe and piston valves.
