Filter Plates
Klinkau - Filter Plate and Frame Systems
The oldest and longest known method for separating solids from liquids is the filter plate and frame system. Filter plates and frames were formerly made of wood but are now made of plastic like all other filter plate systems. Plastic offers excellent chemical resistance and meets the very high hygiene requirements. Plate and frame systems are typically used today in the pharmaceutical (pharmaceutical products and blood plasma) and food industries. The symmetrical cake chambers in plate and frame systems deliver excellent cake washing performance. Other benefits are the ability to use inexpensive filter cloths and disposable filters such as paper filters. The filter frame is interchangeable enabling the simple and inexpensive production of different filter cake thicknesses.
Klinkau - Chamber Filter Plates
The recessed chamber filter plate made from polypropylene is a development of the plate and frame filter plate and has the same functionality. The chamber plate frame is however integrated within the chamber filter plate thus significantly enhancing the plate`s stability. This enables chamber filter plates to be used at much higher filtration pressure levels. Optional cake and plate thicknesses are available depending on the specific filtration conditions and application. Klinkau chamber filter plates can also be supplied in caulked and gasketed design (CGR). The chamber filter plates are made of plastic and feature excellent chemical resistance and simple handling.
Membrane Filter Plates
Klinkau - Standard Welded Membrane Filter Plates
Standard welded membrane filter plates from Klinkau are suitable where chamber fillings are homogeneous and process parameters standard. A minimum pre-squeeze filter cake thickness of 1/3 of the chamber volume is required to ensure proper membrane functioning. The combination of membrane filter plate and chamber filter plate (combined pack) keeps initial investment low and guarantees excellent filtration results.
Klinkau - Empty Chamber Welded Membrane Filter Plates
Klinkau empty chamber membrane filter plates can be used for partially filled or empty chambers. The membrane remains undamaged at the hinged areas during squeezing, even when the chamber is underfilled or empty.
Klinkau - Overhanging Replaceable Empty Chamber Membrane Filter Plate
The overhanging empty chamber version of the replaceable membrane filter plate has been developed from the welded membrane filter plate and has all its major benefits additional to its exchangeability of the membranes.
Klinkau - Clip Replaceable Empty Chamber Membrane Filter Plate
The empty chamber clip version of Klinkau`s replaceable membrane filter plates is a development based of the overhanging replaceable design. It has all the major benefits of the welded version. As for all Klinkau replaceable membrane filter plates, this product can also cope with squeezing into empty chambers.
Klinkau - Multi Replaceable Empty Chamber Membrane Filter Plates
The empty chamber Multi version of Klinkau`s replaceable membrane filter plate is a development of the clip version and was designed for elastomer membranes. It has all the major benefits of the welded version. As for all Klinkau replaceable membrane filter plates, this product can also cope with squeezing into empty chambers. Using a patented groove around the plate, the membrane is fixed to the body by interlocking at the sealing edges and at the staybosses. No other fixation is required. The design of the groove makes the membrane self-sealing. No other sealing is required. The filtrate, wash water and squeezing medium are reliably kept apart during the entire filtration cycle.

Klinkau - Model EnviroTech - Custom Injection Molders
EnviroTech Custom Injection Molders have developed an injection molding method for manufacturing heavy-walled, large-volumed and complex components. Components are made to requirements with shot weights ranging from 0.1kg to 240kg and wall thicknesses of up to 150mm. EnviroTech injection molding enables the profitable manufacture of components with complex geometries, variable wall thicknesses and integrated metal parts such as bushings or specialized reinforcements. Because injection molding allows very thick walls to be produced, rib structures normally required for strengthening a component can be reduced or eliminated thereby reducing tooling costs. If the geometry is correctly designed, the process delivers tension- and void-free molded components.
