Omnitek - Model BitU-Visc - Automatic Viscometry System

Kinematic viscosity characterizes flow behavior. This method covers the procedure for the determination of kinematic viscosity of liquid asphalts, road oils, and distillation residues of liquid asphalts at high temperatures.

Koehler - Automatic Cleveland Open Cup Flash Point Tester

The Automated Cleveland Open Cup Flash Point Tester accurately determines flash and fire point temperatures of viscous petroleum products including oils and bitumens over an extended temperature range. When examining highly viscous specimens, a preheating time and temperature are set in order to liquefy the sample for testing.

Method- AFNOR

Koehler - Automatic Pensky-Martens Closed Cup Flash Point Tester

The Automatic Pensky-Martens Closed Cup Flash Point Analyzer represents a perfect union of next-generation technology with traditional robust quality. The system software runs on an integrated processor PC running the latest Windows operating system.

Koehler - Model K - Existent Gum Evaporation Bath

Electrically heated baths for determining existent gum in aircraft turbine fuels by steam-jet evaporation and in motor and aviation gasolines by air-jet evaporation. Fully insulated, aluminum block design assures safe, efficient high temperature operation.

Koehler - Automatic Density Meter

Density is a fundamental physical property that can be used in conjunction with other properties to characterize the quality of crude oils, light and heavy fractions of petroleum and petroleum products. The test method covers the determination of the density or relative density of crude oils, petroleum distillates and viscous oils that can be handled in a normal fashion as liquids at test temperatures between 15 and 35°C.

Method- ASTM

Koehler - Automated Air Release Value Analyzer

The Koehler Air Release Value Apparatus consists of a test vessel and air flow control equipment for delivering heated air at the specified flow rate to a lubricating oil sample maintained at constant temperature. The Integrated Touch Screen Control Panel guides user from start to finish of test operation and provides density calculation and timing operation for measuring the air release value of the test sample. Drying oven available as additional accessory for warming test oil at temperatures of up to 100°C; Integrated Circulating Bath and air bath for sinker; compressed air heater, over-temperature and over-pressure protection circuitry. Automatically measures the time for air release.

Method- DIN

Koehler - Automatic Cloud and Pour Point Analyzer

The Automatic Cloud and Pour Point Analyzer is a state of the art piece of equipment for measuring cloud point by optical detection and pour point with automatic tilt. The cloud point is an index of the lowest temperature of a petroleum product or a biodiesel fuel`s utility for certain applications. Wax crystals of sufficient quantity can plug filters used in some fuel systems. The pour point of a petroleum product is an index of the lowest temperature of its utility for certain applications. Flow characteristics, such as pour point, can be critical for the correct operation of lubricating oil systems, fuel systems, and petroleum blending and pipeline operations.

Omnitek - Model U-Visc - Automatic Viscometry System

The Omnitek U-Visc is the next generation of completely automatic viscometry systems. The system combines several unique features, making it the instrument of choice in many applications, ranging from QC to R&D to used oil analysis. While offering full compliance with ASTM D445/D446, the specially designed viscometer tubes cover a 100-fold range, e.g. from 1 to 100 mm2/s. The tubes are based on the well-known and proven Ubbelohde design, but only require 8-16 mL of sample and approx. 12-15 mL of solvent for cleaning. Available with single or dual solvent cleaning, the instrument measures kinematic viscosity in Newtonian fluids like lubricants, fuels, or dissolved plastics between 0.15 and 25,000 mm2/s.

Koehler - Four Ball Tester

Four Ball Tester performs both Wear Preventative (WP) and Extreme Pressure (EP) analyses for measuring the wear and frictional properties of lubricants under sliding steel-on-steel test conditions. Tests are performed in accordance to the latest ASTM and IP published methods. Normal load on the ball assembly and frictional torque are measured through load cells. Data is processed and stored using an advanced data acquisition and processing software package. Test results can be plotted and compared, as well as exported to other programs. Wear scars on the steel balls are measured and recorded with a High Resolution Digital Microscope available as a recommended accessory for the Four Ball Tester.
