The microbiological contamination of water has two main causes.  On the one hand, there is the microbiological quality of the water source itself (e.g. rainwater contains more microorganisms than city water) and, on the other hand, there is the release of microorganisms through the biofilm in the tubes.

KONAX offers a robust solution for maintaining continuously bacteriologically safe drinking water in livestock environments through its AGRIDOS water disinfection system. The system addresses common issues such as biofilm formation within drinking lines, which can compromise water quality and reduce the effectiveness of medications, thus posing health risks to livestock. The AGRIDOS system utilizes advanced chlorine dioxide-based disinfectants like Diox Forte and FARNAX Alfa, proven effective at low doses, to eradicate both free bacteria and biofilms. It incorporates an IoT-enabled platform for real-time monitoring and management, allowing farmers to remotely oversee and ensure the efficacy of their water treatment processes. The system is versatile with multiple setup options, ranging from manual dosing to fully automated solutions, catering to different farm sizes and management styles. By monitoring, we mean "continuous supervision". A monitoring system is a system that continuously supervises a particular application or process. Incoming information (data) is observed and, if necessary, situations that require intervention are alerted. By using a monitoring system, you continuously monitor your application, allowing you to improve the quality of the process.

After years of using tap water, even with extra chlorine, suddenly there are persistent (quality) problems due to contaminated water…? A pseudomonas infection…?  This sounds familiar to us. In many cases, the biofilm on the inside of the pipes is the cause. Where a traditional treatment with, for example, chlorine, proves insufficient to keep the pipes clean, we come up with an appropriate, safe and effective solution. Our approach focuses on removing the biofilm and additionally disinfects both the tubes and the water. In order to have safe water at the points of use, a water disinfection with residual effect throughout the entire water system is essential. Additionally, there should be no effect on the taste and smell of the water and the final products, nor formation of harmful disinfection by-products. With our approach, we fully comply with these specifications. 

Effective treatment of cooling water is critical for the seamless operation of cooling towers and water systems. Achieving optimal water composition through the KONAX Prodis Controller helps reach pre-defined efficiency levels, extends the system’s lifespan, and minimizes maintenance expenses. Operating between 25 and 60°C, these systems provide an ideal environment for microorganisms such as algae and Legionella, posing public health risks. Evaporation and water losses in these systems necessitate supplemental water which, if untreated, can lead to corrosion and scaling in tubes and exchangers. The KONAX Prodis Controller employs a sustainable mix of additives and disinfectants, monitored through its internal controls that manage up to eight values. These values are logged and accessible via the 'KONAX IoT' platform, allowing real-time monitoring and alarm response.
