Our history
In 1967 cucumber grower Jan Koppert searched for a new solution for fighting pests and diseases as the pesticides he was using became less effective. He was the first to find and introduce a natural solution: a natural enemy, the Phytoseiulus persimilis mite, to combat spider mite.

The results and effects were so impressive that Jan Koppert decided to produce this solution, not only for his own company, but to sell it to his fellow growers.

Koppert was born. His sons Peter and Paul Koppert and nephew Henri Oosthoek where the ones who turned the small pioneering company into the global market leader we are today. Expanding its range of beneficial insects, introducing natural pollinators, and exploring and developing microbial products and biostimulants. And making our natural solutions available for growers and farmers worldwide. Providing a sustainable alternative for chemical pesticides and setting in motion a major transformation towards sustainable agriculture to ensure a healthy future for people and the planet.

For more than 50 years we have continued to explore, formulate and introduce natural solutions that are locked in nature. Today, the next generation is leading our family company into the future.
