The RMR5000S radio Super collector is a high powered long range device that receives signals both from MTU’s and collectors, process the data using a powerful industrial computer and then forward it to the communication management Head-End Transceiver.

The SMR5000 Radio Collector is a high powered long range device that receives signals from the MTU’s and forwards them to the head-end receiver. The collector stores and forwards the data collected from the MTU’s through a wireless system using a secured licensed radio frequency. The unique high power output (6 watts) is ideal for managing communications networks and extending transmission distances. The SMR5000 can expand a localized radio network to a countrywide system due to the equipment’s extensive connectivity, modular design and smart programming. The SMR5000 is expandable taking the system design today while preparing for the growth of the future with the ability to operate on either VHF or UHF channels simultaneously.

The Head-End Receiver located at the utility office, or hosted at the Network Provider office, offers a modern and secure communication link with RMR Station Collectors. Used in small and/or large scale projects, the Head-End Receiver offers reliable high-speed data collection, with full flexibility and control of fixed network infrastructure.

First of KP’s latest and greatest addition is the Trimble Nomad hand-held. Over the past few months KP have invested in developing an RF module that would integrate into the Trimble unit allowing the installer to program any MTU at the field, receive installation verification and enjoy the benefits of bar code scanner, GPS, GPRS and built in camera improving the efficiency of installations transitioning the utility to complete work orders without the need of papers.
