Hydrologic Analysis Services

Hydrologic analysis provides vital information needed to effectively manage stormwater, allowing better decision making for conveyance and flow control infrastructure, as well as determining flood risk and appropriate mitigation. KPFF has an extensive background in hydrologic analysis and watershed studies ranging from detailed modeling of flow in pipes and culverts to modeling of regional watersheds. Our engineers use computerized hydrologic analysis applications including HEC-HMS, WWHM4, MGS Flood, and many regional and local modeling tools. Our hydrologic analysis and engineering is applied to storm water flow control and treatment facilities, urban runoff management, low impact development, river reach analysis, regional and local watershed modeling, and municipal storm water master planning.

Blast Design Services

KPFF is proficient in the design of structures for blast loading. We serve the Department of Defense, public agencies and private clients using industry specific methods that are consistent with Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC). Our services for Anti Terrorist Force Protection include determining standoff distances, calculating blast forces on structures, and analyzing structures for progressive collapse prevention. Our work includes designing new facilities as well as analyzing and retrofitting existing facilities.
