KG switches are excellent switch disconnectors. They have high through fault and fault making capabilities and are especially designed for use as main switches and maintenance switches for machine tools, distribution panels and switchboards. KG-switches are extremely compact while featuring unusually large isolation distances between open contacts for maximum safety. KG ON/OFF switches offer unusually high dimensioned clearance and creepage distances between terminals which are designed for time saving `straight-line` wiring. Forced opening and closing main contacts are standard. Main Switches (black handle) and Main Switches with Emergency Function (red handle and yellow face plate) are supplied with a padlockable handle and fingerproof terminals.

The C-Series switches not only represent the classic cam switch by Kraus & Naimer, the switches are also applicable as Main Switches. Special Contact developments as 9 pole ON-OFF switches or in installations with vertically limited space makes the switch to an all-purpose solution. Depending on the series the switches have easily accessible and captive terminal screws or with bolt terminals for ring type cable lugs and protective covers. The switches of the C-series offer a solution for most cam-switch/Main Switch applications
