The LAMBDA MINIFOR bench-top autoclavable laboratory fermenter and bioreactor was developed as a result of the need to construct a small laboratory fermentor for working volume ranges from 35 ml to over 6 liters. Based on long personal practical experience in fermentation and cell culture, a high quality fermentor-bioreactor which is easy to use and with the capacity to measure and control all the important parameters of the biological culture, has been created (which required new ideas and many innovations).

The gas flow controller LAMBDA MASSFLOW allows a precise and automatic control of the pH in cell cultures without the need of any other gas station: The LAMBDA MASSFLOW is a new mass flow controller system especially designed for use with LAMBDA laboratory bioreactors and fermentors. For example, it allows control of the pH of a cell culture by the controlled addition of gaseous CO₂, the control of dissolved oxygen by regulation of the airflow or any other gas with a suitable controller. However, it can also be used independently, since all its functions can be controlled from the front panel of the MASSFLOW.

The LAMBDA DOSER & HI-DOSER powder feeder is a unique programmable powder pump for free-flowing solid substances. It allows automated continuous dispensing or intermittent addition (with pauses) of powders, powdery and crystalline substances without a spoon. The powder dispensers with an optional foot-switch can be used to dispense the powder in portions in media preparation, monitoring and screening.

LAMBDA Peltier electronic cooling loop for MINIFOR fermenter-bioreactor. The cooling with this device is based on the electronic cooling effect produced by the flow of electric current through a Peltier cell. The Peltier cell allows cooling of the medium without the necessity of other means like a refrigerating compressor or cooling water baths. LAMBDA has selected a cooling loop working according to the "heat pipe" principle, which has an advantage of having up to 80 times higher heat conduction compared to copper (!) and can be used with various levels of medium. It works even when the loop is not entirely submerged in the medium.
