Lamor - Floating Oil Bladder (Storage Tank)

The LFT U-tanks are durable floating oil bladder (storage tank) designed for the temporary storage of recovered oil. The tank’s low draft makes it ideal for temporary storage in confined areas such as estuaries, rivers and salt marshes. If access to the shoreline is not possible from the sea, an LFT U-tank can be deployed and filled on the beach, if the ground is even and level. Lamor offers a range of tanks, with storage capacities from 5-100 m3 (176.6-3531 ft3). The tanks are manufactured from oil and fuel resistant PVC- coated polyester.

Oil Spill Response Skimmers < 50 m3/h

Lamor - Rigid Manta Ray Weir Suction Heads

The Rigid Manta Ray is a special weir suction head designed for oil recovery. The skimmer is suitable for thin oil slicks under relatively calm conditions where small debris is present in e.g. lakes and slow-moving rivers. The Manta Ray is a half-moon shaped flat suction head with several thin suction channels. The skimmer’s top surface can be quickly opened while in operation to clear straw or small debris and closed to return the unit to efficient recovery of thin cuts of oil.

Lamor - Brush Skimmer Rock Cleaner

The LRC Rock Cleaner has a small hydraulic brush that removes oil from rocks and separates oil and water. The collected oil passes into the funnel behind the brush, from where the oil is sucked with a separate suction pump. The LRC Rock cleaner is controlled by a control handle and carrying harnesses. The LRC rock cleaner has a portable suction nozzle, with an integrated wiper blade to improve the efficiency of oil recovery. It is specially designed for use in rocky coastlines, ports, oil stations, ditches, roads, factories, airports and boats. The LRC features a small, hydraulically operated brush wheel to remove the oil from the rocks and separate it from the water. The Rock Cleaner is made of aluminum and weighs only 6.5 kg (14.3 pounds).

MicroMax - Brush Floating Skimmer

The MicroMax Floating Skimmer, which uses the proven Lamor brush skimmer technology, consists of a frame with two floats. The MicroMax Skimmer is designed to separate oil from water and especially remove oil from tanks or pits. The recovered oil is lead into a hopper behind the brush wheel, and from where the oil is sucked using a separate suction pump. The MicroMax is manufactured from aluminum and weighs only 11 kg (24 lbs). The skimmer can be lowered to skimming position through a manhole of approx. 550 mm diameter. The skimmer is entirely hydraulically operated and its power requirement is low. The unit is designed to be connected to a suction pump or vacuum system. Our preferred solution is the Lamor LPP 6 HA C75 hydraulic power pack with a built- in Spate 75 pump.

Lamor - Portable Oleophilic Brush Skimmer

The Minimax 12 is a light, portable oleophilic brush skimmer, designed to recover oil from shorelines, harbors, rivers and lakes. The skimmer has proven its efficiency in continuous recovery operations in hundreds of oil spills worldwide, in all climatic conditions and varying types of spilled oils. The Minimax 12 utilizes the well proven Lamor brush wheel system, which combines high oil recovery capacity with a low free water pick-up rate of less than 5 %. The brush wheels recover any floating oils which remain fluid. The weight of the hand portable Minimax 12 is only 28 kg (62 lbs). The body of the skimmer is made of fiberglass. The skimmer is entirely hydraulic operated and its power requirement is low. The unit is designed to be connected to a suction pump or vacuum system. The maximum capacity in ideal conditions is 45.4 m³/h (200 gpm) and is certified by Bureau Veritas.

Lamor - Stainless Steel Weir Skimmer Slurp

SLURP (Self-Leveling Unit for Removing Pollution) is a self-adjusting, floating weir-type oil skimmer, originally developed by Esso Research Centre, Abingdon, England. Used worldwide for over twenty years to remove oil and other floating pollutants from the surface of protected waters, SLURP is one of the most versatile skimmers made, working efficiently in any situation at rates up to 44 GPM [10 m³/h]. Rugged and lightweight, it can easily be handled by one person. The SLURP Oil Skimmer has no moving parts. Weir immersion is remotely controlled from the pump; there is nothing to adjust at the skimmer. The SLURP works well in long swells and even in short, choppy waves owing to its unique design. Unlike most conventional floating weir-type skimmers which become unstable when the weir level is set very close to the surface, the SLURP will adjust to any depth of weir immersion and skim the thinnest of oil slicks.

Lamor - Light-Weight Oil Skimmer Units

The Minimax 25 skimmer is a light-weight new generation modular oil skimming unit that is easily transported and assembled. The Minimax 25 is designed to recover oil from e.g. inland waters, rivers, and nearshore. The portable skimmer can be used in all terrains and environments, including Arctic conditions and remote locations. The Minimax 25 consists of only three easily assembled parts, a skimmer body, a collection hopper, and a brush module. Therefore it can be disassembled in less than a minute facilitating cleaning and service. Disc and drum modules are available as additional optional equipment.

Lamor - Compact Oil Skimmer

The compact Minimax 50 skimmer is a modular, robust oil skimming unit that is easily transported, assembled and cleaned. A durable and solid body guarantees longevity and minimal maintenance, both short and long-term. The aluminum body is oil resistant with no moving parts allowing rapid cleaning. Dual removable banks are easily maintained and replaced. Designed to utilize an interchangeable brush, disc, and drum recovery banks, the skimmer can be modified to address the type of oil to be recovered. The skimmer is entirely hydraulically operated with a low power requirement. Varying sizes of oil transfer pumps can be added to the basic suction model if preferred. The skimmer is designed to recover oil in varying scenarios including inland waters, rivers, and near-shore situations. The portable skimmer can be deployed in all terrains and environments, including Arctic conditions and remote locations.

Lamor - Brush Skimmer Oil Recovery Bucket

The Oil Recovery Bucket LRB 40 W system is ideal for pit cleaning and oil recovery operations on land, offshore and in Arctic conditions. The LRB is a light bucket skimmer that is based on the proven Lamor stiff- brush wheel technology and it automatically separates oils, emulsions and oily debris from seawater or soils. The LRB 40 is deployed in a stationary position in skimming operations from an e.g. vessel crane, dredging machine or excavator. The LRB system is unaffected by the floating debris and the free water content in recovered oil is less than 2 %. The skimmer brush can be operated in both directions depending on the oil type.

Oil Spill Response Skimmers 50-100 m3/h

Lamor - Brush Chain-Type Free-Floating Oil Skimmer

The Multimax LAM 50 is a brush chain-type free-floating oil skimmer designed to recover oil in fast-flowing rivers, oil ponds, harbors or as an advancing side sweep skimmer. The skimmer can be used in all terrains and environments, including Arctic conditions. The one 3-row oleophilic V-brush chain bank separates the oil from the water effectively and lifts it to the specially designed brush cleaner from where the oil is directed to the oil transfer pump. The skimmer has a special flow design to improve oil recovery in stationary conditions. The double rotation direction capability enhances the recovery of light to heavy viscous oils. The skimmer has robust detachable aluminum floats, aluminum frame and single lifting point making it easy to lift, operate, clean and store.
