Restoration Service

25 years of experience in the construction and maintenance of lakes ensures that Land & Water also fully understand how water features perform. A serpentine lake in Belair Park, SE London is restored after 25 years of neglect. Whether it is an ancient structure, a Victorian water feature or a modern system it is experience which allows us to select the correct solutions to the problem. Marine Service

Utilising our vast and varied fleet of marine equipment, allied with 25 years experience in and around the marine environment, Land & Water is ideally placed to carry out a broad range of marine civil engineering projects including piling, groyne construction, rock armour and marina construction.

Environmental Service

Land & Water"s considerate approach to construction allows it to undertake sensitive environmental contracts. This approach has led to it utilising Environmentally Considerate Lubricants (ECL) in all its specialist plant, these are endorsed by the Environment Agency. The over development of the countryside means that increasing areas require protection to ensure the preservation of habitat and wildlife. Land & Water has been involved in many restoration and enhancement works in Sites of Special Scientific Interest. The River Kennet in Wiltshire required flow-increasing measures to save the unique river habitat. After detailed studies of the riverbank to highlight areas of water vole habitat, Land & Water were employed to install berms, revetment and flow deflectors to restore the natural balance of the river. Land & Water"s reputation has lead to many interesting developments in environmental works, such as the creation of a sand martin wall and bat cave for Thames Water in East London.

Bio Engineering

Bestmann sustainable Bio-Engineering products have been used extensively worldwide for the last sixteen years. These pregrown coir modules meet the most stringent requirements of current statutory bodies within the UK and have been used extensively on British Waterway canals, lakes and Environmental Agency consented schemes.Pre-vegetated Bestmann fibre rolls placed on faggots. The water level has been lowered to facilitate the placement of the revetment.
