Digital Panel Meter
Laureate - DC Meters: Modular Digital Panel Meters for DC Voltage & DC Current
Laureate™ DC voltage meters and DC current meters are DC digital panel meters with a DC signal conditioner board. They combine high accuracy with high read rate and a wide range of isolated output options for computer interface and control. DC meter accuracy is 99.99% of full scale ±2 counts. DC voltmeter operation (selected by jumpers) provides and six full-scale DC voltage ranges from ±200.00 mV with 10 mV resolution to ±600.0V with 100 mV resolution. The 200.00 mV and 2.0000V ranges provide a high input impedance of 1 Gohm to minimize the load on the voltage signal. DC ammeter operation (selected by jumpers) provides four full-scale DC current ranges from ±2.0000 mA with 0.1 mA resolution to ±5.000 A with 1 mA resolution. The 5.000 A range measures the IR drop across a built-in 10 milliohm current shunt.
Laureate - True RMS AC Voltage & Current Meter
The Laureate™ True RMS meter is a 60,000 count digital panel meter with exceptional performance at half the price of a bench top meter. It can measure true RMS voltage or current of AC signals where there is considerable distortion of the waveform, such as rectifier outputs or waveforms chopped by an SCR, TRIAC or transistor circuit, as illustrated. Laureate™ True RMS AC Voltage & Current Meter, 1 Cycle Update at 50/60 Hz. 200 mV - 600 V and 2 mA - 5 A full-scale ranges.
Digital Counters & Timers
Laureate - Frequency, Rate Meter, Flow Rate Indicator
The Laureate dual-channel frequency, rate and period meter is a basic operating mode of the Laureate counter with the FR signal conditioner board. It can display frequency from 0.005 Hz to 1 MHz, rate in engineering units, and period (inverse of frequency). The normal displayed value can range up to 999,999 counts. Above that level, the display will flash and go into four-digit XXXXEX scientific notation. Each channel (A or B) may be independently scaled for frequency, rate or period. The displayed channel is selected via a front panel pushbutton. Examples of applications are the accurate display of AC line frequency, RPM, speed from proximity switch inputs, and flow from turbine flow meter inputs.
Laureate - Dual-Channel Pulse Input Totalizer
The Laureate dual-channel up or down totalizer is a basic operating mode of the Laureate counter with the FR dual-channel signal conditioner board. Each channel (A or B) may be independently set up and scaled to count up from zero (or other value) to a preset limit, or to count down from a preset value to zero (or other limit). Countdown operation is set up by entering a negative scale factor. The six-digit counter display is capable of displaying any value from -999,999 to 999,999 with a programmable decimal point. Scaling allows direct readout in engineering units, such as gallons or cubic feet based on counts from a turbine flowmeter, or the count of cans based on the count of six-packs. The displayed channel (A or B) is selected via a front panel pushbutton. The totals are stored in non-volatile memory so as to be retained in the absence of power.
Laureate - 6-Digit Analog Input Totalizer & Process Meter
Six-digit display of rate or total at the push of a front panel key. A Laureate with the Standard counter main board and a VF voltage-to-frequency signal conditioner board can be scaled to display rate or totalized rate to six digits for 0-1 mA, 4-20 mA or 0-10V analog process signals. Special input ranges are available from the factory. For example, the display can be scaled to show flow rate in gallons/minute or liters/sec, or to show volume in gallons or liters from the 0-10V output of a flow transducer. Or the display can be scaled to display power consumption in kilowatts or total utilized energy in kilowatt-hours based on the 0-1 mA output of a watt transducer. Square root extraction is selectable and can be applied to rate or total. This makes the VF Laureate ideal for use with differential pressure flow meters, which have a squared output. Totalized volume is based on linearized rate.
Electronic Counters
Laureate - 6-Digit Digital Stopwatch & Timer
The FR dual-channel signal conditioner board accepts inputs from proximity switches with PNP or NPN output, TTL or CMOS logic, magnetic pickups, contact closures, and other signals from 12 mV to 250 Vac. Jumper selections provide optimum operation for different sensor types and noise conditions. A built-in isolated 5, 10, or 24 Vdc excitation supply can power proximity switches and other sensors, and eliminate the need for an external power supply. Resolution to 0.2 µs for time measurement of single or cumulative events. Also displays rate based on 1 / time.
Communication Interfaces
High-Speed Ethernet Board
LNET1 is a second generation communications board that plugs into the middle slot of a Laureate host 1/8 DIN digital panel meter, counter or timer. It provides high-speed Ethernet, USB and RS485 ports to connect the host instrument to an external PC or HMI. High data rates are a major advantage compared to Laurel`s first-generation LNET communication boards.
Serial Input Displays & Serial to Analog Converters
Laureate - Serial Input 6-Digit Panel Meter & Remote Display
Laureate™ Remote Displays (or Serial Input Meters) are slave displays which accept the RS232, RS485, USB or Ethernet data from computers, programmable controllers, Laureate instruments, or other devices with a serial data output. They can also provide relay closures and an analog output based on the received readings. They blend in with 1/8 DIN Laureate digital panel meters, counters and timers to provide a numeric display from -999,999 to +999,999.
LT Transmitters, 4-20 mA & RS485
Rail Transmitters, 4-20 mA & RS232/RS485 Serial Data Outputs
LT series DIN rail transmitters & signal conditioners can be interfaced to a wide range of sensors and transducers using one of seven available plug-in signal conditioner boards. The transmitters duplicate the high performance (high accuracy, high read rate) and extensive programmable features of Laureate 1/8 DIN digital panel meters, counters and timers. They utilize the same signal conditioners boards, much of the same firmware, and the same Windows-based free Instrument Setup Software. They come in a compact DIN rail mount package with detachable screw-clamp connectors for easy wiring.
