Calibration Standards - Viscosity Standards
Paragon - General Purpose Viscosity Reference Standards
Certified in strict accordance with ASTM D2162, the primary method for viscosity standards manufacture. Dual certified to the International Standards BS EN ISO / IEC 17025 and ISO 17034 under our UKAS accrediatation. We test at Primary level using master viscometers in accordance with ASTM D2162 to ensure the lowest uncertainty of measurement thus providing standards that are certified with primary level accuracy. ASTM D2162 is the only referenced method for the certification of viscosity standards when adopting ASTM test method protocol.
Silicate Glasses, Monitor-Samples
Quality control in an XRF-laboratory is based on regular drift control of your spectrometer. This is achieved with so called SUS samples (setting up samples) or drift control samples or monitor samples. These samples should be adapted as close as possible to your calibration range, often as a set of 2 samples for the low and high points of your curve. Primary requirement for a monitor sample is signal stability over time, avoidance of contamination and moisture uptake, easy storage conditions. Thus powder pellets or borate beads are not good for this purpose, glasses or ceramics are the material of choice.
Petroleum Standards & CRMs
LGC - Blank Oil
Trace element values were determined by atomic emission spectroscopyand are traceable to the applicable NIST 31 series Standard Reference Materials.
LGC - Sulfur-Based Stabilizer
This solution is intended for use as a stabilizer for dilutions of conventional sulfur-based metallo-organic standards. Use this product at 0.6% (w/w) with diluted metallo-organic standards. Certification: VHG standards are manufactured and certified under a quality control system that is accredited to both ISO 9001 and ISO/IEC17025. Plasma emission spectrometry (ICP-AES) was used to determine trace metal concentrations in this product.
LGC - Mineral Oil
This 20 cSt mineral oil is intended for use as a diluent for other metallo-organic standards. It was analyzed for sulfur by wavelength dispersive x-ray fluorescence spectrometry (WDXRF) against NIST SRM 2770. It was also analyzed for trace metals by plasma emission spectrometry, with traceability to NIST SRM 1085b
Laboratory Test Equipment - Hydrometers
Paragon - Relative Density Hydrometer
Hydrometers from Paragon Scientific are manufactured to exacting specifications. Each Hydrometer is available as non certified or with a UKAS certificate of calibration to ISO17025. For ISO 17025 Calibration please select the part number CS-HYD-UKAS from our Hydrometer Calibration Services page
Laboratory Test Equipment - Heated Circulating Baths
Paragon - General Purpose Stirred Water Baths
Grant T100 series systems offer a choice three economy plastic (P) tanks or five stainless steel (ST) tanks with different capacities combined with the Grant Optima™ T100 digital thermostat for accurate temperature control. The Grant T100 immersion thermostat incorporates Intelligent Control Optimisation™(ICO) for adaptive intelligent PID temperature control.
Laboratory Test Equipment - Polarimeters
Paragon - Polarimeter
Since 1996, the ADP range of polarimeters has become one of the world`s most popular general-purpose automatic polarimeters. Building on the experience gained over the past decade of polarimeter design, Bellingham + Stanley continue the tradition by introducing the ADP410, incorporating up to date technology and delivering a high quality instrument at an affordable price. The ADP410 provides all the measurement performance of its predecessor, the ADP220, but with less software features.
Paragon - Polarimeter
For over 40-years, the Model D polarimeter and sodium lamp outfit has been the primary choice of leading industrial and academic institutions throughout the world, offering practical assessment of optically active materials combined with high accuracy measurement.
Paragon - Polarimeter
The ADP440+ is single wavelength, high accuracy polarimeter suitable for use in many applications and is especially suited for use in pharmaceutical laboratories where compliance with Pharmacopoeia¹ is required. New optics featuring a ‘no maintenance’ yellow LED and interference filter together with a photodiode detector allows reading of samples of up to 3.0 OD. The instrument has both angular and sugar scales (ISS) and can be programmed with user scales as well as industry standard methods for displaying concentration and specific rotation directly.
