8X30 and 12X40 mesh carbon is produced from selected grades of bituminous coal, and is designed for liquid phase applications.  This carbon is mostly used for potable water treatment and removal of chlorinated compounds.  This carbon is NSF61 and food grade quality.

Other granular (8X16, 20X50, etc.) carbons are produced from select grades of bituminous coal and are designed for liquid phase applications.  They withstand backwashing without degradation or  reduction of particle size.  These carbons are NSF61 and food grade quality.

We can also provide 8X30 mesh granular reactivated carbon.
