Waste Gas Treatment

LIKUSTA - Biofilter Systems

Environmentally sound decomposing of organic pollutants; The use of environmentally friendly systems for biological waste-gas treatment is constantly increasing. In Likusta biofilters, harmful and odorous substances from waste-gas and exhaust-gas flows are decomposed to non-toxic, odourless and largely low molecular weight substances, such as carbon dioxide and water. This is done biochemically by the metabolic activity of microorganisms.

LIKUSTA - Gas Scrubber Systems

Purification of process waste gas based on the absorption principle; With absorption (scrubbing), water-soluble substances are absorbed or dissolved from the waste gas in a liquid by physical-chemical means. For this purpose, the gas stream is brought into contact with a liquid stream. Using absorption, solid, liquid or gaseous substances from the gas stream can pass into the liquid.

LIKUSTA - Activated Carbon Filter Systems

Microporous structure allows high adsorption rates; Activated carbon is fine-grained carbon with a highly porous structure and a very large surface. It is used industrially for eliminating unwanted harmful substances or odours from gases, vapours and liquids or for the recovery of residues. The substances are bound to the activated carbon by adsorption. Activated carbon is used as a powder, granulated or pressed into pellets or carbon compotes. For selected applications, the activated carbon can be impregnated with chemicals or metal salts.

LIKUSTA - Chlorine-Gas Treatment Unit

Gas accidents - usually due to improper operation - can unfortunately never be completely ruled out. Likusta chlorine-gas treatment systems ensure the necessary safety.

Water Treatment Systems

LIKUSTA - Filter Systems

The treatment of water polluted with solids is carried out in most cases with filter systems. They operate according to the sedimentation principle. Suspended matter is retained in the filter and deposited. The filtered water can subsequently be diverted and used. Nature serves as a model for this principle: Bank filtrate is water that is constantly trickling through the river bed and soil into the ground water. On its way through the different soil layers, the water is cleaned.
