Lindor - Industrial Food Mixers
Lindor industrial food mixers have proven to be a highly valuable solution in food manufacturing processes. The fact that the Lindor industrial mixers exercise virtually no shear forces make them particularly suitable for use with fragile and/or heat sensitive products. Also the option to add liquids (e.g. aromas, oils) proves to be a valuable feature. Lindor mixers are suitable for (highly sensitive) powders. Examples of powders mixed by Lindor powder mixers are milk powders and coffee powders.

Lindor industrial chemical mixers and processing machines enable a large variety of materials to be treated with a range of processes in one machine. The fact that the Lindor industrial mixers exercise virtually no shear forces make them particularly suitable for use with fragile and/or heat sensitive products. Also the option to add liquids (e.g. reacting agents) proves to be a valuable feature in many manufacturing processes.

Special Seals
Standard the Lindor industrial mixing machines are equipped with lip seals between the rotating drum and the inlet/outlet. The seals are made of a proprietary material combining flexibility and abrasion resistance. However, for specific demanding applications other seal solutions are possible. The variety is in type of seal material applied, the construction and type of seals. Based on the characteristics of the products mixed and, if needed, after trials, a specific solution can be chosen. Besides the single seal configuration which is applied most of the time, two other constructions are frequently used: Dual Air Purged Seals and Gland Seals.
Quick Seal Release (QSR)
The QSR option enables replacement of seals by a single operator in a very short time. For ultra high hygienic requirements it is now possible to exchange seals for off line cleaning/disinfection. Downtime due to replacement of seals can be kept to a minimum. This option is recommended for environments where quick and easy access to seals is more and more important.
WIP/CIP (Washing In Place/Cleaning In Place)
Lindor rotary drum mixers can be equipped with spraying devices to enable washing and cleaning of the internals of the mixer. The special water/cleaning agent sprays are mounted at the inlet, in the drum and in the outlet of the mixer. The exact configuration and washing parameters (water volume, cleaning agents, temperature, duration, etc.) always depends on the mixed products, hygienic requirements and operational circumstances. Therefore the WIP/CIP configuration will be defined together with the client.
Extra Large Easy Access Doors
Time needed for mixing is an important operational parameter. However, time for cleaning can be of equal operational importance. In order to facilitate quick and easy cleaning and inspection the Lindor industrial mixing machine can be equipped with Extra Large Easy Access Doors. These doors can be sized to create a maximum opening. The opening of the doors is made easier by use of hinges and gas cylinders. A choice can be made between equipping all three doors with hinges and cylinders or just one. To enable a correct positioning of the doors when the mixer is stopped, a drum positioning system can be applied. With this the doors stop at a postion for an operator to immediately open up and start inspection and/or cleaning.
Industrial Mixers - Special Blending Features
Lindor - Continuous Mixing
The industrial blender can be configured as a continuous mixer. The output can be controlled by a special valve. With this the average residence time can be controlled. With this configuration an continuous, uninterrupted, product flow can be moved through the mixer. Continuous mixing can be delivered in combination with liquid injection and other options.
Lindor - Cryogenic Mixing
Cryogenic Mixing at -120°C < T < -80°C is possible with special adaptations to inlet, outlet and drum. The rotary drum mixer and product is kept at low temperature by using liquid nitrogen in the dosing cabinet, inlet, mixing drum, and outlet. Parts of the industrial mixer are double walled in this configuration. With a PID control loop and solenoid valve for Liquid Nitrogen the set temperature is controlled.

Lindor - Gentle Mixing Technology
The Lindor gentle touch technology is developed for mixing and processing fine powders, granulates and natural products. Mixing to a high degree of homogeneity in a short time is one of the main advantages of this technology. Even very sensitive, fragile products can be mixed and processed without degradation, heating up due to friction or even topical hot spots due to high speed tool tips (e.g. paddles, ribbons).
Lindor - Powder Mixers
Lindor powder mixers are suitable for (highly sensitive) powders, because they mix powders undamaged, quickly and homogeneously and with minimal negative effects. Many powders appear not to be sensitive to wear, breakage, dust formation or static charging, although in reality, they are. The energy per kilogram of mixed product is usually less than 2 Watts per kilogram. Other powder mixer systems quickly reach a factor of 5. The energy is always transformed into something else, such as breakage, dust formation, heat. The less energy, the fewer negative effects. This means that the integrity of the individual particles is guaranteed by Lindor`s powder mixers. Furthermore, liquids can simply be added to a powder in the mixer by liquid injection. In the rotating drum of the powder mixer, with the powder always moving, liquid can be distributed evenly and only over the powder, without the liquid contaminating the mixing drum.
