MELcat - Zirconium Hydroxides
At MEL Chemicals we have a range of zirconium hydroxides available. These zirconium hydroxides are all amorphous but will crystallise as zirconium oxide at calcination temperatures in excess of 350°C (static air).
MELcat - Doped Zirconium Hydroxides
MEL Chemicals are able to tailor make our zirconium hydroxides to customer requirements. We are able to dope with a range of elements to alter surface, bulk, chemical and physical characteristics. At MEL Chemicals we have developed a range of proprietary processes for producing doped zirconium hydroxides, the most common dopants being Ce, La, Y, Nd, Pr, Ti, Al, Si, S and W hydroxides and oxides. We also have experience doping with hydroxides and oxides of Fe, Cu, Mg, Mn, Na, Li, Sn and many more.
MELox - Zirconium Oxides
MEL Chemicals produce a variety of doped zirconium oxides for a range of applications. Details of our standard grades can be found in our Ceramics Brochure. MEL Chemicals MELox doped zirconium oxides are dense powders of high chemical purity, which are manufactured by the calcination of chemically precipitated intermediates. The introduction of dopants via a chemical processing route ensures a homogeneous distribution and enhanced ceramic properties. MEL carefully controls every stage of the manufacturing process and can customise materials to your particular requirements.
MELox - Undoped Zirconium Oxides
The MELox range of zirconium oxides are dense, white powders of high chemical purity, which are manufactured by the calcination of chemically precipitated intermediates. Our considerable experience and commitment to develop products for industry has led to the current range of zirconia powders. The various grades have been designed to meet the demands of specific applications and to enhance the properties of our customers’ products.
