Tower Internals

Mach - Liquid Distributor

Industrial processes that involve separation such as distillation, stripping and absorption are often performed in packed columns — also referred to as packed towers. These packed towers require liquid distributors that are used to evenly disperse the liquid in the tower over specific sections of the packing. This process makes for a more efficient and intensive mass transfer between the various phases — plus, it helps prevent maldistribution.

Tower Packing

MACH Tri-Packs - Plastic Tower Packing

MACH plastic Tri-Packs® tower packing provides reliable performance in a variety of industrial mass transfer and separation processes. Tri-Packs — introduced in the 1980s and since recognized for their notable sphere shape — are a type of media used in random tower packing, which is a method of purifying gas and liquids. Use them for distillation, scrubbing, degasifying, stripping and more. Random tower packing media come in numerous shapes, though Tri-Packs are highly functional and offer maximum surface contact. Tri-Packs are used to create a larger surface area for contact between vapor and liquid. The contact makes separating chemicals more efficient.

Tower Packing - Wastewater Packing

MACH Engineering - Biological Filter Media for Wastewater Treatment

MACH Bio-Media is a biological filter media designed to enhance the efficiency of wastewater treatment systems. Constructed using molded pieces of recycled polypropylene, this media offers a sustainable alternative to conventional mineral-based solutions. It is available in spherical or tubular shapes optimized for various filtration processes and is particularly effective in random packing applications. The lightweight structure of bio-media enhances the system's trickling filter capacity while minimizing the need for water recirculation due to its clog-resistant properties. With interlocking capabilities and fins that extend the surface area, it supports the growth of beneficial microorganisms like protozoa and fungi, which facilitate the decomposition of organic matter. The media is resilient in harsh and corrosive environments, suitable for both aerobic and anaerobic operations. This long-term filtration solution is also customizable to meet specific industrial requirements, reinforcing its utility across diverse applications, from large-scale wastewater facilities to household aquariums and aquatic systems.
