Reverse Osmosis Desalination

MAK Water - Sea Water Reverse Osmosis System (SWRO)

MAK Water’s Sea Water Reverse Osmosis (SWRO) plants are designed to treat sea water, or high salinity ground water, with < 40,000 mg/L of dissolved solids (TDS) and < 30 mg/L of suspended solids (TSS), to achieve potable water quality.

Wastewater / Sewage Treatment

MAK - Activated Sludge Bioreactor

MAK Water’s Activated Sludge Bioreactor (ASBR) type packaged sewage treatment plants are designed to treat domestic strength sewage, to achieve “Class C” treated effluent, suitable for reuse in “risk category low” applications or for discharge to environment. With the optional “Class A” upgrade, treated effluent suitable for reuse in “risk category medium” applications is achieved.

Industrial Water Filters

MAK Water - Multimedia Filtration Plants

MAK Water’s Multimedia Filtration (MMF) plants are designed to treat ground water, surface water, tertiary treated effluent, storm water or wastewater with

Water Clarification

Clearmake - Oil Water Separator

Clearmake oil water separators are designed to remove free floating hydrocarbons such as diesel, hydraulic fluid and oil as well as heavier suspended solids from a waste water stream. This form of treatment is the minimum required prior to trade waste (sewer) discharge for any wash bay where hydrocarbons may be present.

Screening & Grit Handling

MAK Water - Salsnes Fine Screen Filter (SFSF)

The Salsnes Fine Screen Filter (SFSF) provides compact, flexible and cost-effective solids separation for primary wastewater, storm water and industrial applications.

Water Disinfection Systems

MAK Water - UV Disinfection Drinking Water – Municipal System

MAK Water is the exclusive representative for Calgon Carbon UV Technologies in Australia and New Zealand – Calgon Carbon is not only a world leader in granular activated carbon solutions, but also one of the world’s foremost providers of ultraviolet light (UV) disinfection and advanced oxidation process (AOP) technologies for water.

Chemical & Chlorine Dosing Systems

MAK Water - pH Adjustment – Recirculated (PAR) Plants

MAK’s pH Adjustment – Recirculated (PAR) plants are designed to automatically adjust and maintain the pH level of raw water in a storage tank, prior to discharge to sewer/environment or reuse/recycling. The standard treatment process includes a recirculation pump to turn over the contents of the storage tank twice in a 24 hour period, an inline pH analyser which monitors the pH level and a dosing pump to automatically dose liquid alkali/acid. Dual chemical dosing pumps (alkali/ acid) are available for when the raw water pH varies to allow for correction of both low and high pH raw water.

Sludge Handling

MAK Water - Dewatering Screw Press (DSP)

MAK Water’s Dewatering Screw Press (DSP) is designed for efficient thickening and dewatering of liquid sludges that emanate from municipal wastewater treatment processes. Typical applications for wastewater treatment plants include dewatering of thickened or unthickened waste activated sludge (WAS), digested sludge from aerobic or anaerobic processes, and dissolved air flotation (DAF) sludges.

WendeWolf - Solar Sludge Drying System

The WendeWolf system includes a tiller & turner machine that processes dewatered sewage sludge cake into a dry granulated product. The WendeWolf machine is installed inside an enclosed greenhouse building or drying hall. The greenhouse serves to prevent rain from re-wetting the sludge, and capture solar radiation to evaporate the moisture from the sludge. The WendeWolf® machine spreads, turns over and breaks up the sludge in the bed, as it transports it along the length of the drying hall. The final granulated product at the end of the drying hall is on average approximately 10 mm in size, and can have up to 85% dry solids content. This granulate is suitable for agricultural reuse, as fertilizer, as well as secondary fuel in coal fired power plants or in cement plants.

Storm Water

MAK Water Clearmake - Single Pit Diversion System

MAK Water’s Clearmake storm water diversion systems allow wash-down, first-flush, and other contaminant fluids to be captured from un-roofed hard-stand areas for disposal, or pre-treatment prior to sewer discharge. Typically a diversion system would work in conjunction with a wastewater treatment system such as an Oil Water Separator (OWS), Gravity Clarifier (GC) or Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF) system. During a rain event, diversion systems allow clean rainwater to be harvested or discharged to the storm water system.
