MAK Water’s Sea Water Reverse Osmosis (SWRO) plants are designed to treat sea water, or high salinity ground water, with < 40,000 mg/L of dissolved solids (TDS) and < 30 mg/L of suspended solids (TSS), to achieve potable water quality.

MAK Water’s Activated Sludge Bioreactor (ASBR) type packaged sewage treatment plants are designed to treat domestic strength sewage, to achieve “Class C” treated effluent, suitable for reuse in “risk category low” applications or for discharge to environment. With the optional “Class A” upgrade, treated effluent suitable for reuse in “risk category medium” applications is achieved.

Clearmake oil water separators are designed to remove free floating hydrocarbons such as diesel, hydraulic fluid and oil as well as heavier suspended solids from a waste water stream. This form of treatment is the minimum required prior to trade waste (sewer) discharge for any wash bay where hydrocarbons may be present.

MAK’s pH Adjustment – Recirculated (PAR) plants are designed to automatically adjust and maintain the pH level of raw water in a storage tank, prior to discharge to sewer/environment or reuse/recycling. The standard treatment process includes a recirculation pump to turn over the contents of the storage tank twice in a 24 hour period, an inline pH analyser which monitors the pH level and a dosing pump to automatically dose liquid alkali/acid. Dual chemical dosing pumps (alkali/ acid) are available for when the raw water pH varies to allow for correction of both low and high pH raw water.

MAK Water’s Dewatering Screw Press (DSP) is designed for efficient thickening and dewatering of liquid sludges that emanate from municipal wastewater treatment processes. Typical applications for wastewater treatment plants include dewatering of thickened or unthickened waste activated sludge (WAS), digested sludge from aerobic or anaerobic processes, and dissolved air flotation (DAF) sludges.

The WendeWolf system includes a tiller & turner machine that processes dewatered sewage sludge cake into a dry granulated product. The WendeWolf machine is installed inside an enclosed greenhouse building or drying hall. The greenhouse serves to prevent rain from re-wetting the sludge, and capture solar radiation to evaporate the moisture from the sludge. The WendeWolf^® machine spreads, turns over and breaks up the sludge in the bed, as it transports it along the length of the drying hall. The final granulated product at the end of the drying hall is on average approximately 10 mm in size, and can have up to 85% dry solids content. This granulate is suitable for agricultural reuse, as fertilizer, as well as secondary fuel in coal fired power plants or in cement plants.

The ECS House Floating Brush Aerators are ideally suited for operation in shallow lagoon applications where vertical shaft-type aerators cannot be employed. These units can operate at minimum water depth of 700mm. In addition to partially mix and/or complete-mix lagoon applications, these Floating Brush Aerators are also suitable for aeration in oxidation ditches, SBRs, equalization basins and aerobic digesters.
