Map Maker 4is software for professionals who need to make maps; people like foresters, estate managers, archaeologists, emergency services, ecologists, and many others. It has been designed so that you do not have to be a "GIS" professional to use it. The program comes in two versions - the "Pro" edition and a free version called "Gratis". We have been selling Map Maker Pro since 1996 in over 100 countries. Over the last two decades it has evolved in response to our user`s needs. Version 4, released in 2016, is the latest manifestation. The price remains the same at225 UK pounds(+ VAT in the EU) for a single-user licence. Existing users of Map Maker Pro are entitled to a substantial discount .

Map Maker Gratis is a powerful mapping program that is available for free. Map Maker Gratis is actually the same program as Map Maker Pro but with some of the more advanced functions turned off.

For people who are already using Map Maker version 3.5 or earlier there will be much that is familiar in version 4. However, there are many enhanced features.

Over 50 Gb of free base map data for the UK, excluding Northern Ireland and the Isle of Man, based on Ordnance Survey OpenData can be downloaded from the Download page. The data is supplied as zip files each containing data for a 10 kilometre square tile. Each zip file contains a nominal 1:10,000 raster file, a 1:250,000 raster file, a 1:1,000,000 raster file and a Map Maker terrain file. You only need to download the tiles that you actually need.

Sun Clock is a program for Windows to show the local time around the world and the areas of the globe which are in night or day. City lights are visible at night time. During the year the extent of the polar ice caps and the nature of the vegetation changes to reflect the seasons.
