Petri Dishes

Petri Dishes are used to grow bacteria and fungi. Our Petri Dishes are medical grade, sterile dishes made of high quality polystyrene that evenly spreads cell growth. They’re stable from 4°C to 60°C and have premium optical quality. Designed for easy one hand opening and closing, the edges of tops and bottoms are squared off to provide a firm sure grip. Flare and length of lid skirt allows lid to be removed and replaced easily. Dishes have three venting ribs on the underside of the lid to prevent condensation build up.

Flasks

Erlenmeyer Flask

Erlenmeyer flasks have many uses, including holding, measuring, mixing, and boiling liquid samples. Marathon offers a wide variety in different sizes and material. Each Erlenmeyer flask features a flat bottom with a vented cap. Our erlenmeyer flasks have a flat-bottom design with a narrow neck. This design makes swirling liquids without spilling easier.

Tissue Culture Flask

Our PC and PETG flasks are a safer alternative to glass. They won’t break, chip or shatter amid the bustle and bumps of everyday lab work. Enjoy their light weight and ease of handling. Our flasks are made from the highest quality laboratory-grade polycarbonate (PC) and Polyethylene terephthalate glycol (PETG) materials for dependably low extractable across a wide variety of lab applications.

Strainers/Filtration

Strainers & Filtration

Filter systems are essential when purifying a substance, removing all unneeded particles. When a sample is poured into a filter, the desired liquid passes through the sieve and the other particles are contained separately. Marathon’s Filter Systems are quality products made of polyethersulfone, a material used to increase the flow of product. The MarathonLS filter systems have a filter support that allows for faster flow and an angled hose barb adapter to prevent the filter from leaning. The filter systems have molded graduation marks and membrane and pore size labeling.

Tubes & Bottles

Centrifuge Tubes

Centrifuges tubes are used in laboratories to spin centrifuge tubes at high speeds – turning liquid substances into distinct layers sorted by density. This centrifuge process is in drug production, blood cell separation, and reactant recovery (amongst many other common applications). Marathon centrifuge tubes are manufactured in a class 100,000 room environment and under the SO13485 and ISO9001 quality management system.  In addition, our centrifuge tubes are certified RNAse/DNAse, Human DNA, PCR Inhibitor, and Pyrogen Free, all featuring easy to read graduations. From 1.5 to 500mL, we can provide you with a range of tube sizes to suit the needs of your lab.
