Hydrus - 3D Virtual Reality System

HYDRUS VR is the newest underwater 3D virtual reality system developed by Marine Imaging Technologies. Incorporating SONY’s newest UMC cameras, the HYDRUS VR system captures 4k, 8k or 3D imaging like no other system. The ten camera array features the SONY UMC-S3CA, custom lenses and realtime control software. With a 60% image overlap, HYDRUS VR can produce a stitched image resolution of 8192 x 4096 spherical at 30 frames, 4096 x 2160 at 120 frames or Stereo 4k. Whether storytelling or research, HYDRUS VR exceeds all visual expectations.

Cinema Class ROV Camera

Built around two immense camera housings sized to accommodate modern cinema cameras, Pixel offers new options to underwater cinematographers. Choice of cameras, fluid movements and aesthetic appeal are all features incorporated into Pixel. Conceived during the peak of 3D imaging and the emergence of 4k, dual 9" primary housings and multiple secondary housings were incorporated in anticipation of future cinematic advances. Multiple fiber optic lines simultaneously host live video and control feeds from topside control to various cameras.  Dimmable LED lighting and smooth multi axis propulsion complete Pixel, granting her status as the subsea equivalent of land based filming.

Sea Rover - Survey Class ROV Camera

Sea Rover is a multi-purpose, Survey class  ROV with adaptability at the core of its design.  While its standard configuration of dual pilot cameras, dual LED lighting arrays and three axis thrusting is intentionally simple, the system’s design encourages adding and controlling a wide range of instruments; from sonars to sensors, from manipulators to cameras. The Sea Rover’s onboard systems communicate through a 10GB ethernet backbone with a fiber optic connection to the surface station.  The open Unistrut and Delrin frame is a simple, secure frame for multiple accessories.

Multipurpose Camera Housings

The IH-1250 is our multipurpose camera housing; large enough for a 4k cinema camera, small enough for carry-on baggage and rated to 1250m. Milled from 6061-T6 aluminum and anodized for long term deployments, this durable lightweight housing has the internal space for a 4k camera and either real time monitoring telemetry or batteries and a control board for fully autonomous operation. Available with either the EZ Adjust Precision Chassis or the Fixed Chassis, this housing has proven to be our most popular.

Still Camera Housing

Designed to accommodate offset lenses, this housing allows for high res still cameras to be mounted and controlled remotely. Using either Marine Imaging`s controller and software or a remote computer, this housing features real time control via USB or fiber optics and real time monitoring.
