Permanent containment booms with rigid external floats for protected waters. ECOPROTECT booms are made using a strong PU-PVC blend coated polyester barrier fabric with high-density polyethylene floats filled with polyurethane foam. The floats are bolted in pairs, trapping the boom fabric in between, this gives rise to a heavy-duty build which is also easy to maintain and repair on site. The boom’s visibility is enhanced reflective strips on the ends of each section.

The ECOREEL THT is a fully enclosed, state-of-the-art, electric boom reel, incorporating everything necessary to deploy up to 600 metres of self-inflatable oil boom quickly and safely. The hard cover is fitted with roll-up doors, protecting the equipment against severe weather, UV light and vandalism. To operate the reel only an electrical connection is required, making it instantly usable without the need for a hydraulic power pack or hydraulic hoses. Operation is by radio remote control, allowing personnel to stay at a safe distance whilst maintaining full control over the reel.

The ECOREEL/ ECOREEL T series consists of a wide range of hydraulically operated reels that make boom operations quick and easy, with a focus on safety. Standard models are available in any size and for every application. Common to all models are their safe and simple variable speed operation and compact design. Operational safety is maximised by a distribution valve that manages the direction of rotation, the speed of rotation (adjustable from 0 to 12 rpm) and the hydraulic braking system.
