Particle Counter for Oils
The particle counter PCSS fluid transmits the ISO classes using two current interfaces. The double piston pump and the laser sensor ensure precise measuring results. Alternatively, you can operate the particle counter PCSS fluid without pump (CSS fluid, see brochure for liquids). In this case the constant flow needs to be ensured by the user. All parameters (measuring time, particle size and thresholds) are parameterized using the computer. The particle count is transmitted to an evaluation system via the current interface 4-20 mA. The exceeding of thresholds can be queried at two potential-free contacts on the box.
Laser Sensors
For the particle measurement in a particle size range of 1-2000μm, laser sensors are used, who work after the light blockage principle. The sensor consists of a light source (laser), an optic and a detection unit. The liquid or air goes through a glass cell and bypasses in that way the laser beam. The sensors can be used and supplied at different evaluation devices. The size of the measuring cell simulates the flow and the range of particle sizes. According to the application, OEM-sensors can be equipped with different connection cables.
Klotz - Aerosol Generator
The aerosol generator ATM 225 is used for generating test aerosols with defined properties. The number concentration of the aerosol particles can be set. From the determined concentration distributions of the produced DEHS aerosol it becomes evident that in the range of expected MPPS (Most Penetration Particle 0.2-0.3 μm) a very high particle concentration is provided (> 107 particles/cm3). In the measuring range of many optical particle counters (> 0.3-0.5 μm) a particle number (0.5 x 106 l particles/cm3) is generated in line with the requirements. The design and technological features of the device ensure a high stability of particle size distribution and particle concentration. The generated aerosol is thus very well reproducible.
Kotz - Particle Counter with Standpipe
The particle counter TCC with stainless steel standpipe is particularly used as monitoring system in the drinking water area. The system can evaluate three freely selectable particle sizes. For each channel threshold values can be set which monitor the degree of pollution. With the help of the interface RS 232 or the current interface 4-20 mA the devices can be connected with a central evaluation unit. The flow is kept constant with the help of an ascending pipe. By setting the measuring time at the TCC the particle number can be detected in dependence of the volume.

Markus Klotz - Particle Counter Box with Display
The particle counter box has been designed as 3-channel particle counter; it can be used to monitor up to 6 size classes on the display or 16 size classes with “Protrend”. A microcontroller (SPS) allows you to start measurements and read out three particle sizes with the help of a current signal for 4–20 mA (optional: voltage 0–10 V). In addition, a closed contact allows you to query threshold exceeding. On the display up to six freely adjustable size classes can be shown.
Syringe - Particle Measuring System
The particle measuring system Syringe was specifically designed for lab operation. The system includes the sample feeder Syringe®, the PC insert card PCI 1.0, the evaluation software and the PC. For the pharmaceutical sector the usp evaluation software SW-CA is available; the system is equipped with the laser sensor LDS 23/25 usp. It works in the range of 1-50 μm linear and is specifically made to meet the demands in the pharmaceutical sector.
Abakus - Mobil Fluid Touch Particle Counter for Liquids
The particle measuring system Abakus® mobil fluid with tank (Amf) is used for counting particles in liquids from pressure lines and from bottles. The particle number is displayed in 32 size classes, printed out, stored and transmitted to the interface.

The dilution system VS 100 is for the defined dilution of aerosols and thus provides the possibility to conduct particle measurements even in the case of very high particle concentrations. This is done by splitting the sample volume flow into 2 partial flows whereby 99% of the actual sample volume flow is directed through a HEPA filter that absorbs virtually all particles contained in the aerosol. This means that only 0.0283 l/min. or 0.01 CFM of the sample volume is fed unfiltered to the particle counter resulting in a dilution ratio of 1:100.
Impaktor - Particle Measuring Systems
The air sampler is a measuring instrument for testing the bioburden of the air, which can be used for both the impaction method as well as the filtration method. During the measuring procedure the air is drawn in by a radial fan specifically developed for the FH6 and the flow ist automatically kept constant (impeller anemometer). The electronics control the measurement cycle. The sample volume selected via menu key flows in a defined measuring time through the filter attachment or via the Petri dish with the culture medium.
