The HRS Charge Controller was the first Marlec regulator to incorporate electronic Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) technology to regulate battery voltage to prevent overcharge.  This generation of voltage regulation saw the end of the need for bulky heat sinks to dissipate excess energy generated by the windcharger and, more importantly for the lifetime of the windcharger, introduced speed limiting to the turbine when the battery is full.

Marlec has many years experience of wind and solar power solutions for remote water pumping systems. Off-grid pumps can be powered using either wind or solar only systems, or a hybrid wind and solar solution. The size and type of system depends on your location and the specifics of your remote water pumping application. As long as your system is sized properly this can be a cost effective solution for use when your water source is too far from a grid connection.
