For over 40 years MarShield Radiation Shielding has been offering turnkey solutions to the nuclear industry including ASMT B29 lead pouring, fabrication, machining, cleaning, coatings and gamma testing. MarShield’s documented nuclear industry approved lead pouring procedures are in place that ensure a controlled temperature, shrink and porosity for a solid lead pour and maximum shielding protection. We are capable of pouring molten lead from 1 lb. to 100,000 lbs. For customer free-issued fabrications, we pickup and re-deliver to and from anywhere in the USA or Canada
MarShield - Lead Brick Shielding System
MarShield lead brick shielding provides the best choice for construction where temporary, permanent shields or storage areas are required, offering you the flexibility in your design and construction choices. Lead bricks are ideal for adding additional shielding to existing rooms and can be used in new construction as a method to reduce wall or ceiling thickness to achieve space savings. Our high purity lead bricks are ideal for shielding effectiveness where maximum protection is required from X-Ray and Gamma Ray radiation. Our bricks are relatively smooth, clean and have a non-porous surface.
MarShield Plasti-Shield - Borated Polyethylene Neutron Shielding System
Plasti-Shield® Borated Polyethylene Neutron Shielding, supplied by MarShield, is a lightweight, cost-effective neutron shielding solution to attenuate and absorb neutron radiation. Our borated polyethylene contains 5% (2% available on special order) boron content by weight. Used in the medical, nuclear, and industrial marketplaces borated polyethylene is ideal for medical vaults and doors, particle accelerators, hot cells, nuclear storage and transport containers, and nuclear detection systems.
MarShield - Borated Polyethylene Pellets
To better serve the marketplace, our 5% Borated Poly was expanded to include a high density version of 201. This material has all the properties of the 201, but the added density contributes to better gamma shielding.
