The boiler is a push grate boiler which burns almost all biomass fuels, with humidity of up to 30%. The boiler is welded in Denmark with 1.class materials and by certified welders. The boiler is a four pass boiler, where 3 are convection passes. The tubes have a large wall thickness for extended life. Likewise, the tubes are made with a large diameter for ease of cleaning. Secondary air nozzles penetrate the sides of the boiler with easy adjustment of airflow. All hatches and doors are made large and are easily accessible. The boiler is insulated with 100mm glass wool and covered with aluminum-zinc plating.

Storage tank with dome shape end caps. Made of 4mm container plate, designed for natural circulation. Natural circulation can be achieved when the bottom of the accumulator tank is equal to or above the center of the boiler. The purpose is to store excess heat that goes to consumption via the storage tank and to offset temperature variations. NB: for natural circulation 2" pipe or larger is used and no angles - only bends.

Reka has developed an electrostatic precipitator specifically aimed at removing dust particles from straw combustion. The filter is extremely efficient and compact compared to conventional electrofilters and bag filters. The filters have a very low pressure loss and a continuous efficiency of over 95%. Can also be used in other industries wanting to remove particulate matter.
