MAT AFM FILTERS are rapid, pressurized multilayer filters filled in with Activated Glass Filter Media (AFM) instead of sand to double the process performance. The AFM media offers 300 times more surface area than the sand media, is electrostatically charged to absorb organic substances and small particles and finally the metal oxide catalysts located on its surface make the AFM self-sterilizing, as well. The developed filtration speed varies between 20 – 25 m/h at a pressure rate of 2.5 bar. The specific filter configuration offers extra resistance to bio-fouling, to bio-coagulation and does not permit any unfiltered water to escape due to transient wormhole water channeling.

MAT MOVING BED BIOFILM REACTORS are biological filters, designed to efficiently enable the organic load degradation, either as a part of a Life Support System or more generally, as an apparatus to treat any Wastewater Treatment Process. The MAT MBBR bio tower, is made of Polypropylene, robust to withstand harsh operation conditions. The MAT MBBR range covers the treatment needs for Biomass load from 31 up to 850kg per bio-tower, utilizing low water volume and small footprint. The non-treated water stream is continuously mixed with air in the MAT MBBR, while the organic load is degraded biologically by microorganisms. This biofilm layer is formed on and in suspended polyethylene media.

MAT TRICKLE FILTERS – WET DRY FILTRATION SYSTEMS are fixed bed, aerated, biological filters designed to convert the toxic, nitrogen waste found in aquarium water to non-toxic and easily removable byproducts. MAT Trickle Filters use an air blower to reinforce the presence of Oxygen inside the biotower. The use of Polyethylene (PE) bio balls provides the maximum surface area, not only for the microorganisms’ activity but also for the gaseous exchange process restoring the levels of CO2 and O₂ to required values. MAT TRICKLE FILTERS range covers the TAN (Total Ammonia Nitrogen) Removal Rate needs from 30 gr TAN/day up to 1800 gr TAN/day and from 42kg up to 2600kg, of Max Biomass at 2% feeding ratio, per bio-tower.

MAT UV DISINFECTION SYSTEM is a sterilizing device for wastewater treatment, where the Ultra Violet radiation targets directly to microorganisms & genetic material (DNA & RNA) destruction. The comparative advantage of the UV disinfection system over various chemical disinfection methods is the maintained and unaffected physical and chemical composition of water after the UV radiation activity. The UV is effective against any type of microorganism such as algae, bacteria, virus, fungi, yeasts, etc.

Micro Fiber Self Cleaning Filters are a package filter system for removing particles down to 2 microns. With the use of our innovative self-cleaning microfiber filter cartridges, the filter provides the same performance as a standard cartridge filter without the cumbersome replacement of filter cartridges. These filters are perfectly suited for lowering Turbidity and Total Suspended Solids as well as reducing the Silt Density index in waste water and potable water applications. When combined with Reverse Osmosis or Ultrafiltration technologies, Micro Fiber Self Cleaning Filters provide an ideal solution for pre-filtration.

The Heavy Duty Self Cleaning Filters from MAT Industrial Technologies are filters which are designed for high flow In-Line/On-Line use with fluids containing high debris loading. Heavy Duty Self Cleaning Filters can be located at suction line to protect the pump by using a pressure pump at flushing line.These filters are of heavy-duty construction and fitted with a reliable automatic cleaning systems via MAT Industrial Technologies brush and/or scraper technology. Our filters come standard with filtration as low as 200 microns. On special request, our in-house Engineering team can configure your Heavy Duty Self Cleaning Filter unit to achieve filtration as low as 150 microns. The large range of our standard units can reach up to 6000m3/hr flow rates in a single unit.

The Recirculating aquaculture skid filtration system is a complete filtration unit designed for simple Recirculating Aquaculture operation, with the smallest footprint and minimum energy consumption. The Units are equipped to provide complete mechanical, biological, chemical and disinfection water treatment. RAS Skid Units integrate automated operation decreasing the operational cost and human error probability of the facility.

Freshwater fish farmers, especially salmon farmers, requested MAT-KULING to develop a Freshwater Protein Skimmer able to perform in fresh and brackish water conditions and installed in salmon pre-smolt stages tanks. The protein skimmer is an add-on to the existing filtration setup. By adding a protein skimmer to the hatchery filtration RAS, the farm aims for 20% or more enhancement of water quality and significant improvement in biomass capacity per tank.
