The Mitigator is the industry’s only engineered AC mitigation system to combat the corrosive effects of alternating current (AC) on pipelines, combining performance with greater ease of installation and lower cost. Providing superior performance over bare copper and zinc for AC grounding and mitigation, this system is based on MATCOR’s SPL™-Anode manufacturing technology. It is a packaged grounding system that combines the best of copper grounding with low resistance, corrosion-inhibiting backfill.

Copper sulfate reference electrodes are available in underground and freshwater styles. Since our permanent CuSO₄ cells are larger than the norm, they have more copper sulfate than others and, therefore, have a longer life. We offer three basic types:

MATCOR’s SuperVent, the standard vent pipe system for all MATCOR Durammo® Deep Anode Systems, is available for all deep anode systems and anode venting. SuperVent is the only deep anode venting system that ships in a single continuous piece, will not become blocked, and does not require field assembly. It is available only from MATCOR and is manufactured in the USA at the company’s ISO 9001:2015 certified facilities.

The quality of the cable is instrumental to any cathodic protection system.   Cathodic protection cable must be highly corrosion resistant and capable of withstanding the rigors of the environments to which they are exposed.

Durammo is the only complete, factory assembled, ready to install deep anode system available. Over 8,000 Durammo Deep Anode Systems, in operation for more than 200 million hours over 30 years, have successfully protected pipelines, wells, plants and infrastructure from corrosion. The MATCOR MMP-Anode is a prepackaged mixed metal oxide (MMO) impressed current anode for underground applications to protect and prevent corrosion on pipelines, storage tanks, and other buried structures. The MMP-Anode utilizes a certified grade titanium substrate with a dimensionally stable mixed metal oxide coating.

The SPL-FBR-Anode is primarily for cathodic protection of pipelines, in congested areas and beneath above ground storage tanks (ASTs). It is available in all standard SPL-Anode current outputs and in long continuous lengths. It is a complete, ready to install anode system encased in coke backfill. The SPL-FBR-Anode is available in standard long lengths of 500 ft (152 m), 1000 ft (305 m) and 1,640 ft (500 m); custom lengths up to 2500 ft (762 m) are also available.

Impressed Current Anode for Water Applications MATCOR`s PF-Anode is a long life impressed current anode that provides cathodic protection for water tanks, water wells and other aqueous environments. A mixed metal oxide (MMO) anode, embedded in chlorine resistant Kynar® braiding is flexible and ideal for use in salt, brackish or fresh water locations. The PF-Anode has a continuous header cable and uses the MATCOR patented Kynex® waterproof connection.

Structures submerged in water are subject to the damaging effects of corrosion around the clock. Reliable cathodic protection can extend the life of these structures by decades.MATCOR’s Sea-Bottom Anode is a complete, ready to install marine anode sled including the anode cable and protective housing. The Sea-Bottom Anode is quick and easy to install for cathodic protection of docks, piers, pilings and other marine structures in all types of water. MATCOR engineers custom design the Sea-Bottom Anode for the current and life requirements and the environment where installed.

Cathodic protection rectifiers are the external power source used in impressed current cathodic protection systems (ICCP) to convert alternating current (AC) to direct current (DC). In ICCP systems, current is discharged off of the anode and onto the structure to prevent corrosion. MATCOR offers cathodic protection rectifiers (CP rectifiers) in every standard configuration, including air-cooled, oil cooled and explosion proof. The rectifiers are available in almost any voltage and current output.
