Humidity Measurement

MBW - Dew Point Mirror

The 373 has been a reference in humidity measurement for almost 20 years. Incremental development based on operational experience and customer feedback means that the 373 continues to meet and exceed the expectations of hundreds of users in some of the most challenging humidity applications.

MBW - Dew Point Mirror

The 473 is the lowest cost MBW dew point instrument, yet it has similar performance and the same user interface as our high end instruments. It features cable mounted dew point measuring heads that allow the user to measure directly within the application environment, and includes a temperature probe as standard. Using both measured variables, the 473 is able to calculate, display and output relative humidity. As an option, the 473 can be specified with a barometric pressure sensor. Three different measuring heads with 2 m connecting cables are available (lengths up to 10 m can be provided on some versions on request).

Dew Point Mirrors

The 573 Dew Point Mirror is a high performance 19″ rack format instrument that is very well suited to fixed industrial installations. The 573 is equipped with an integral measurement head, pressure sensor, sample pump and flow meter for continuous precision monitoring of frost/dew point and absolute humidity values across a wide range of applications. The 573 is very similar in specification to the 973, but adds the capability to measure dew points above the ambient temperature thanks to versions with heated measuring heads and sampling tubes. A special option on the 573H and 573HX variants is an automated steam trap that provides user controlled draining of condensation collected during operation at dew points up to 95 ˚C.

MBW - Dew Point Mirror

The 973 Dew Point Mirror is a portable instrument equipped with an integral measuring head for both spot and continuous measurement of dew/frost point in air and other gases. Based on the chilled mirror principle, the 973 provides fundamental, drift free and precise humidity measurement.  For many applications it is a transfer standard.The 973 also measures pressure and temperature with high accuracy, and includes features that enable alternative humidity parameters such RH, ppmv, vapor pressure and absolute humidity. Unique features enable fast response in spot check applications and users can self-check instrument calibration stability using the integrated Ice-Test function. All versions of the 973 are supplied a tough transport case that protects this valuable instrument when moving around site or when shipped for calibration.

The 973-SF6 is an advanced SF6 gas analyzer for the measurement of humidity, SF6 purity and SO2 concentration in SF6 gas insulated switchgears (GIS) and other high voltage equipment. With its internal gas containment and recovery system, the 973-SF6 provides a high quality and environmentally safe measurement solution within a single self-contained unit.

Temperature Measurement

MBW - Precise and Stable Platinum Resistance Thermometer (PRT)

The T12 is a precise and stable platinum resistance thermometer (PRT) multi-channel temperature measurement system. Using a custom designed high quality measurement circuit, 24 bit analog to digital converters and multiplexor sampling; the T12 provides 12 channels of low uncertainty temperature data for validation and calibration engineers.

Humidity Generation

MBW - Benchtop Humidity Generator

The Model 2500 Benchtop Humidity Generator is a self contained system capable of producing atmospheres of known humidities using the fundamental, NIST proven, “two-pressure” principle. This system is capable of continuously supplying accurately known humidity values for instrument calibration, evaluation, and verification, as well as for environmental testing. Simply apply power and the 2500 will power-up ready to generate. Humidity setpoint values are input by the operator from the front panel keypad and are limited only by the range of the 2500 humidity Generator.

Generator

The Model 3900 Low Humidity Generator is an extremely accurate means of producing known humidity values for calibrating and verifying humidity instrumentation. Based on the combined, NIST proven, fundamental “two-pressure” and “two-temperature” principles, this system will automatically supply a continuous humidified gas stream, within the frost/dew point range of –95.0 °C to 10.0 °C, for days or even weeks unattended. Simply apply power to the system, and the 3900 will power-up ready to purge and/or generate. Humidity setpoint values are input by the operator from the front panel keypad and are limited only by the operational range of the 3900 humidity Generator.

Flow Mixer

The HFG1 allows users generate variable dew or frost point gas flows for the calibration of all types of hygrometers. It works by combining a dry gas supply with adjustable amounts of water vapor provided by an internal permeation humidifier. By adjusting the mixing ratio using the front panel mounted valves, output dew/frost points are generated for measurement using a reference hygrometer such as the 973 or 373.
